Template:Level Kong-Fused Cliffs is the twenty-seventh level in the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance game, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is also the second area of Razor Ridge.
In this cliff level, the Kongs will find themselves climbing up a long rope to reach the peak of a mountain. Normally, the two monkeys would find this far too easy with their climbing skills, however, the ropes that fill this level are on fire, and the flame on them will continue to rise throughout the whole level. Because of this, the heroes will find themselves in high pursuit by the flame, not being able to backtrack. As they climb the ropes, they will not only have to watch out for the flames, but the many Buzzes and Kopters surrounding them, who will prove to be major obstacles throughout this level.
Level Layout
When the level begins, the Kongs should climb up the rope lit up by a small flame. As the flame rises, they will need to continue to move upwards. The monkeys, after traveling between thin openings in the mountains, will get in a barrel to blast to the letter K and back onto the rope. Higher up, they will pass several Buzzes and Kopters, moving along the sides of the rope. Soon, the monkeys will reach the end of the rope and jump to the second rope. This rope will lead them to more enemies. The heroes should be careful on which side of the rope they hang on, as Kopter flying in can easily hit them. Eventually, they will reach the letter O and hop over to the level's third rope. As they clamber up this rope, they will find the Star Barrel.
About halfway into the level, the apes should continue their journey and climb between a few groups of Buzzes, some circling the area. Soon, they will find a Kopter right in their path, so they will need to jump into a nearby Barrel Cannon to blast over it. After passing some more Buzzes, Dixie and Kiddy will find the letter N to the left. They should jump to it and be caught by another Barrel Cannon. The barrel will then blast them back onto the flaming rope. After that, the monkeys will avoid a Buzz moving in a C shaped pattern, and later, a group of three Buzzes flying back and fourth through the open area. Climbing higher, the apes will soon encounter some Kopters hovering towards them. They should maneuver around the rope to dodge the enemies and continue to avoid them the rest of the way. Eventually, the Kongs will clamber all the way to the highest point in the mountain, where they will find a flagpole to the right. Jumping off of the rope before getting burnt, they should raise its flag to end the level.
Secrets
Bonus Levels
- A while before the letter O, the heroes will climb up the second rope and find a long banana sitting on a steep hill to the right. They should get onto the hill and walk up to find a Bonus Barrel. The special barrel will lead them to a Bonus Level, where they will climb up another flaming rope. As they climb, they will need to jump into Barrel Cannons to shoot around some Buzzes in the center of their path. At the end of the stage, the monkeys will find the Bonus Coin.
- Shortly after the letter N, the heroes will find a trail of bananas to the right. They should jump to the bananas to be caught in mid-air by a hidden Barrel Cannon. The barrel will blast them into a Bonus Barrel, which will then take them into a Bonus Level. There, the heroes will have to rush up a quickly-burning rope while dodging several Kopters. Once they reach the top of the area, they will be awarded with a Bonus Coin.
DK Coin
- To the left of the level's flagpole, the Kongs will see a wooden platform jutting out of the mountainside. They should use their Team Up move there and throw a monkey onto the tunnel near them. They will land next to a steel barrel in which they should carry to the hidden Koin to the lower area on the left. The Koin will have the DK Coin, and he will not let it go unless he is defeated. Though his shield will protect him from most attacks, the heroes can throw the steel barrel to the nearest wall while standing on him. The barrel will bounce back and hit the foe on the side, defeating him. This will give the monkeys the DK Coin.
