This level is set on another series of boardwalks, though this time there is a current in the water which will gradually sweep the [[Kong]]s away from the goal. They will have to keep moving to proceed through the level because of it. The strong current can also push the monkeys into enemies, so they must be careful. At the beginning of the level, the apes will find a strait pathway along a few boardwalks. Soon, they will walk down a slanted platform to reach the edge of the boardwalks. Jumping into the water will take them to an area full of bananas. The letter K can be found above the water at this point as well. Swimming through the rushing water, they will find a trail of bananas leading under a Koco, and then make their way back onto the wharf. There, they will meet a few Knockas to push them back into the water. If they are avoided, the heroes will be able to reach the other end of the boardwalks in the water. There, they will find a some banana trails guiding them around a few Kocos, as well as the letter O in the air. Shortly after that, the monkeys will find another set of boardwalks. They should travel across them, dodging a lone Knocka, to find their way back into the water. In the water, they will meet a few Kocos in the way, though they can be easily jumped over. A little farther from here, the heroes will find a [[Star Barrel]].

About halfway into the level, the monkeys will swim through the rough water, meeting a few Buzzes. The area will also have a few broken parts of the wharf, supported by large stilts. They should jump over these obstacles while avoiding the Buzzes, making their way under a Buzz and a Koco. Soon, they will make their way under a high boardwalk and encounter a pair of Kocos in their way. Not too far from there is another group of Kocos. The apes should jump over both of the groups to reach another broken part of the wharf. If they want to continue, they will need to jump over the obstacle while dodging the above Buzz. Once they get to the other side of the object, they will meet a few more groups of enemies in their way. They should maneuver under them and find the letter G near a Buzz. Nearby, they will also find another broken part of the wharf to head over, as well as the way back onto the boardwalks. They should travel over this area to spot a flagpole. If they raise this pole's flag, the level will end.

#Shortly after the letter O, the heroes will find a pair of Kocos guarding the way to a [[Bonus Barrel]]. They should maneuver around these foes to reach it. If they collect all of the stars in less than twenty seconds, a [[Bonus Coin]] will appear at the right end of the stage.

If Kiddy is to miss this platform, he will be forced to restart the level to reach the area, as he and Dixie are unable to reach the high boardwalks again. Once Kiddy jumps into the barrel, he will be taken to a Bonus Level. There, Kiddy and Dixie will have to move along a tightrope and defeat some Knik-Knaks. A Bonus Coin will appear at the end of the stage once all the enemies are defeated.

*At the beginning of the level, the Kongs will meet the [[Koin]], who will have the [[DK Coin]]. He will not give up the coin without a fight, and his shield will protect him from most of the Kongs' attacks. So, the apes will need to retrieve the [[Steel Keg]] hidden on top of the entrance by using their [[Team-up]] move and stand on the enemy, causing the Koin to put his attention on the monkeys. If they are to throw the barrel at the nearest wall at this time, it will bounce off of it and hit the Koin in the side. This will defeat him, thus giving the Kongs the DK Coin.

Template:Level Tidal Trouble is the third level of the Super Nintendo and Game Boy Advance game, Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is also located in Lake Orangatanga, the game's first world.

Similar to Lakeside Limbo, this level is set on another series of boardwalks, though this time there is a current in the water which can gradually sweep the Kongs away from the goal. They have to keep moving to proceed through the level because of it. The strong current can also push the primates into enemies, so they must be careful. Enemies here include Kocos, Knockas, Buzzes, Booty Birds, and Knik-Knaks. A Lurchin appears in a Bonus Level here as well. Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong can also discover Enguarde in an Animal Barrel during the level. However, the helpful swordfish is unable to swim far in the shallow water.

They should travel across them, dodging a lone Knocka, to find their way back into the water. In the water, they will meet a few Kocos in the way, though they can be easily jumped over. A little farther from here, the heroes will find a Star Barrel.

About halfway into the level, the monkeys will swim through the rough water, meeting a few Buzzes. The area will also have a few broken parts of the wharf, supported by large stilts. They should jump over these obstacles while avoiding the Buzzes, making their way under a Buzz and a Koco. Nearby, they will also find another broken part of the wharf to head over, as well as the way back onto the boardwalks. They should travel over this area to spot a flagpole. If they raise this pole's flag, the level will end.

K-O-N-G Letters

  • K: The letter K floats above the first gap of water, which is located immediately before the first DK Barrel in the level.
  • O: After passing the first two Knockas in the level, the primates swim through a water area with the letter O above it.
  • N: On the small platform just before the second Bonus Level, the heroes can find a Booty Bird flying in the air. They are given the letter N if they defeat the bird enemy.
  • G: The letter G hovers next to the final Buzz in the level, who is located above the water shortly before the End of Level Flag.

Bonus Levels

  • Shortly after the letter O, the heroes can find a pair of Kocos guarding the way to a Bonus Barrel. They should maneuver around these foes to reach it. The barrel is able to take them into a Bonus Level, where they need to collect thirty stars around the area with Enguarde, watching out for a Lurchin on the way. If they collect all of the stars in less than 20 seconds, a Bonus Coin appears at the right end of the stage.
  • After the Star Barrel, the heroes can find two Knik-Knaks floating in the air. They should bounce on these foes to reach a high boardwalk. There, Kiddy needs to take the lead and roll towards the water. As he hits the surface of the liquid, the player needs to hit the jump button, making him bounce on the water. Bouncing on the water a few times sends the young ape onto a small platform with the Bonus Barrel above it. If Kiddy is to miss this platform, he is forced to restart the level to reach the area, as he and Dixie are unable to reach the high boardwalks again. Once Kiddy jumps into the barrel, he is taken to a Bonus Level. There, Kiddy and Dixie have to move along a tightrope and defeat some Knik-Knaks within 20 seconds. A Bonus Coin appears at the end of the stage once all of the enemies are defeated within the time limit.
    • It should be noted that Dixie Kong can simply use her Helicopter Twirl ability to reach the second Bonus Barrel in the Game Boy Advance version. Either Kong can also simply jump to the platform to reach it in the same version.

DK Coin

  • At the beginning of the level, the Kongs meet a Koin, who is in possession of the level's DK Coin. He will not give up the coin without a fight, and his shield can protect him from most of the Kongs' attacks. Therefore, the apes need to retrieve the Steel Keg hidden on top of the entrance by using their Team-up move and then stand on the enemy, causing the Koin to put its attention on the primates. If they are to throw the barrel at the nearest wall at this time, it will bounce off of it and hit the Koin in the side. This is able to defeat it, thus giving the Kongs the DK Coin.

Warp Barrel

  • After passing the level's first red Koco, the Kongs should, not jump over, but land on, a very skinny platform, hardly big enough to hold both of them. Kiddy must then throw Dixie north-west to reach the hidden Warp Barrel, which sends them to the End of Level Flag when entered.
