- This article is about the fruit. For the Spiny Egg-like objects that Piranha Plants sprout from, called "strawberries" in Mario Party Superstars, see Piranha Pod.
Strawberries appear in Super Mario media as interactive objects. One appears in Paper Mario as a key item, while other strawberries are featured across the Mario Party series in minigames.

Paper Mario description | Bright red strawberries. They look fresh and juicy. |
In Paper Mario, the Strawberry is an ingredient in the cake that Princess Peach uses in an attempt to satisfy Gourmet Guy's hunger. Peach makes the cake after Mario rescues the Star Spirit from the Shy Guy's Toy Box. The strawberry is the last item that Peach has to put in the cream, and she adds it after the cream is put on. Adding more than one of these to the cake will result in Gourmet Guy spitting it out and Peach having to make the cake again.
Mario's Picross
In Mario's Picross, strawberries appear in the Kinoko Course puzzle.
Mario Party series
Mario Party 2
In Mario Party 2, strawberries appear on the tree in the minigame Honeycomb Havoc, and as the topper for the cake in the minigame Cake Factory.
Mario Party 4
In Mario Party 4, strawberries appear in the Bowser minigame Fruits of Doom, as one of the potential fruits on Bowser's list.
Mario Party: The Top 100 / Mario Party Superstars
In Mario Party: The Top 100 and Mario Party Superstars, strawberries return in Cake Factory.
Other games
The strawberry has additional appearances these other games. While Yoshi's Crafted World has red and golden strawberries made of paper-mâché in Poochy's Sweet Run, Princess Peach Showtime has a bakery stage where there are big red giant strawberries as toppings for the cakes.
