Ball[1] is one of Wario's reactions in the Wario Land series of games. The form bears a striking resemblance to the Floating Face from Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins. It is only seen in the boss battles in Wario Land II and Wario Land 3, respectively against the basketball player Dunk in Anyone for B-ball? and the soccer player Shoot in A Town in Chaos. If the boss stomps Wario, Wario will turn into a ball, and vice-versa. If Wario is the one who turned into a ball, he can slowly move left or right. The one who is a ball will dribble on the ground and become vulnerable to be used by the opponent to score a point, after which they return back to normal. To revert back to normal without being used as a ball to score a point, the one who is a ball needs to be hit by the basketball projectile in Wario Land II, while in Wario Land 3, the tortoise goalie must catch the transformed character. The boss can also revert back to normal if not bumped into after several seconds. If the boss is the first to score three points, Wario as a ball will blast off to the top until he hits the ceiling to return back to normal.
