Puffy Wario[1][2], also known as Stung Wario[3], Floating Wario[4][5], and Puff Daddy Wario[6], is one of Wario's many reactions in the Wario Land series of games. Wario can achieve this reaction in a variety of ways. In Wario Land II, Wario will become puffy if he is stung by a bee or their giant counterpart. In Wario Land 3, the change will occur if he gets stung by a Pneumo or a Haridama, gets hit by the Igaguri Wolfenboss spawns, or getting jabbed by Yellow Belly's needles. In Wario Land 4 he must get stung by a Beezley, get hit by the arrow that is shot by a Bow Balloon, or get hit by the minions of the boss Catbat.
He will then swell, filling his head with air, allowing him to slowly float upwards. This is usually used to get up to a high place, or as a means to be ejected from an area such as in boss battles like Yellow Belly and Wolfenboss.
When Wario floats up into a ceiling, gets hurt, or is unable to continue to float up for any other reason, he will revert to his normal form and fall back towards the ground.
In Wario Land 4, Puffy Wario can blow some air to get a vertical boost by pressing the jump button.
In Super Mario-kun, Wario becomes Puffy Wario the same method as in Wario Land 4.
In WarioWare: Move It!, when Wario becomes stuck in the hole where the gold statue used to be in the game's ending, he puffs out his cheeks similar to Puffy Wario while flapping his arms as he tries to get out.

Trivia
- Although not an actual display of the form, his planned cameo in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga depicted Wario briefly adopting similar features as well as his face turning purple due to his disagreeing with the taste of the Starbeans Cafe blend.
- Puffy Wario was one of three Wario transformations appearing in Densetsu no Stafy 3, along with Flaming Wario and Bubble Wario in Wario's guest appearance in Kaitei Iseki.
