Advance Space
Advance Space from Mario Party 10
Purpose Causes the player to move forward the number of spaces printed on the space.
First appearance Mario Party: Island Tour (2013)
Latest appearance Mario Party: Star Rush (2016)

An Advance Space (formerly known as a Dash Space) is an uncommon space that is first present in Mario Party: Island Tour, then appears in Mario Party 10 and Mario Party: Star Rush.

History[edit]

Mario Party: Island Tour[edit]

Dash Spaces first appear in Mario Party: Island Tour as blue spaces with "+[number]" written on them. They move the player forward the number of spaces displayed on the space. Similar spaces known as Extra-Move Spaces appear in Bowser's Peculiar Peak, though they always hinder the player's progress.

Mario Party 10[edit]

Advance Spaces return in Mario Party 10, though they are only present in the Bowser Party mode. They behave as they do in Mario Party: Island Tour.

Mario Party: Star Rush[edit]

Advance Spaces appear yet again in Mario Party: Star Rush, behaving as they do in past games. They appear in the Balloon Bash and Mario Shuffle game modes.
