Template:Species-infobox The Missile Shells[1] are uncommon enemies from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. They are only found in Barbos's Barrier, and they are shot by Barbos. The Missile Shells have a purple cone-shaped shell covering their tentacle-based bodies, and display two beady eyes. When they are shot by Barbos, they start to chase the player. Enguarde the Swordfish must lure them at the Lurchins that protect Barbos; once the Lurchins are gone, Enguarde can prick the boss.
Missile Shells appear again in the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country 3, and they act just exactly like in the previous version. Here, they can be smashed only if they crush into a Lurchin, as they can swim through the area's walls.
On a side note, Enguarde can't safely attack the Missile Shells, as he'll get hurt if he tries to attack them.
