Battle Course 4 is the last battle course of Super Mario Kart. It appears to be in Mario Circuit. Its form is a square, with walls and sand in the middle.
The course returns as a Retro Battle Course in Mario Kart Wii. If players are close enough to a wall, they can throw a shell over that wall without it hitting the wall. This is also true for Battle Course 3 in Mario Kart: Super Circuit.
Competitions

Luigi competes in the SNES Battle Course 4 competition.
A competition took place on the Wii version of the track, where players had to collect a total of 50 coins. Various hazards did appear, such as oil slicks. It was the first competition of March 2009, and it was later repeated as the first competition of March 2011 and the second of June 2012.
