Template:Level Koindozer Klamber is the thirty-fourth level in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. It is also the fourth area in KAOS Kore. In the game's Game Boy Advance remake, the level is instead the fortieth level.
This jungle level is home to enemies similar to the DK Coin stealing Koins, known as Koindozers. These Koindozers cannot be defeated, and they will try to knock the Kongs into pits, so the Kongs must be extra careful around them. Staying in the air away from these rare enemies is recommended, as they can move fast when they spot the monkeys on land. Though Koindozers can be quite an annoyance throughout the level, they can also be helpful at times. Indeed, these enemies can help the monkeys reach high areas by jumping on their shields. Other enemies in this jungle level include Krimps, Bazukas, and a single Re-Koil. Also, the Konveyor Ropes (unlike Konveyor Rope Klash) no longer run in this level.
Level Layout
The level will begin with the Kongs walking along the jungle pathway, passing a few villainous Koindozers and crossing some small gaps. Soon, they will find themselves moving a Koindozer to reveal the letter K, and then cross some more abysses around the Koinfozer infested area. Jumping platform to platform, they will meet many of these Koindozers, trying to knock them into the gaps. If the monkeys can get away from these enemies, they will find a rope to grab on. Climbing across, they will make their way into an area full of more Kiondozers. Most of these foes will be on small platforms, so the group will need to be careful. Soon, they will find a large abyss, which they will cross by bouncing on the barrels from a nearby Bazuka. Once they meet the Bazuka on land, they will grab onto a rope to find the Star Barrel.
About halfway into the level, the heroes will drop down from the rope and head down the path. Passing one of the Koindozers, they will meet another one who will help them reach a high area. After that, the jungle will become more treacherous and filled with many more small gaps. On the platforms surrounded by these gaps will be Koindozers, whom the Kongs will need to jump on to safely progress. After they find the letter N, the apes will jump along more small platforms and soon use the help of another Koindozer to reach up high ledge. Going east from there, they will use the barrels of another Bazuka to cross the second large abyss. When they meet the Bazuka on the other side of the chasm, they will grab onto a rope and hop back on land. Walking down some small hills will then take them to the letter G. Farther on, the heroes will hop up three more small platforms, each occupied by dangerous Koindozers. Once they cross all the small gaps in between the platforms, they will find a flagpole that will end the level when its flag is raised.
Secrets
Bonus Levels
- Right after the first Bazuka, the Kongs will grab onto a konveyor rope. They should jump to the left from the beginning of this rope to land in a Bonus Barrel, hidden by the trees. The barrel will take them to a Bonus Level, where they will jump on some Koindozers to collect many stars. If the Koindozer knocks them into a gap, they will lose the bonus. If the Kongs collect all the stars before time runs out, they will find a Bonus Coin at the end of the stage.
- When the monkeys see the level's first Re-Koil, they will need to stand on the nearest Koindozer and use their Team-up move to throw a monkey into the above hidden Bonus Barrel. When they land in the barrel, they will be taken to a Bonus Level where they will have to hop on the shields of two Koindozers to collect several green bananas. Once enough green bananas are collected, they will find a Bonus Coin nearby.
DK Coin
- Near the end of the level, the heroes will see a Koin with the SK Coin. Barrels from a nearby Bazuka will be hitting him at this time, though the barrels will not faze him, as they are not made of steel. So, the monkeys will need to bounce on the barrels to find a rope above a Bazuka. Jumping to the left of this rope will make the heroes hit an S Barrel, turning the barrels the Bazuka fires into steel barrels. Heading back over to the Koin, the Kongs will notice that the steel barrels had defeated him. With the Koin gone, the monkeys will be able to claim their DK Coin.
