Clapper does not physically appear in any other game, although there are the similar Seals in Donkey Kong 64, and Clapper's artwork is in the Freestyle Zone of Donkey Konga 2.

Aside from the various remakes of Donkey Kong Country 2 Clapper has yet to appear again.

Clapper, also written as Klapper,[2] is an Animal Friend in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. Its name is derived from its tendency to clap its flippers together. Clapper has silver fur, large eyes, and a tan snout with a black nose and five whiskers on each side.

Clapper has the exact same role in both games. It appears throughout Lava Lagoon, where it is used to cool the boiling water,[3] and its namesake level Clapper's Cavern, where it cools the water into ice so that the Kongs can avoid Snapjaw.[4][5] Either way, Clapper claps its flippers together after being jumped on. The water is only cooled for a few seconds,[6] reverting afterward. The Donkey Kong Land 2 equivalents of Lava Lagoon and Clapper's Cavern feature Clapper in the same capacities, but the latter is just for crossing the frigid water, having no Snapjaws.

Clapper does not physically appear in any other game, although there are the similar Seals in Donkey Kong 64, and Clapper's artwork is in the Freestyle Zone of Donkey Konga 2.
