First appearance | Super Mario Odyssey (2017) |
Greater location | Snow Kingdom |
Wind-Chill Cavern is a location in the Snow Kingdom in Super Mario Odyssey. It is one of four paths taken at the hub of Shiveria Town, and all of them are required to be completed to access the Snowline Circuit.
Mario must follow the path west of the chute to find himself at the start of the cavern. Throughout this section, Mario must carefully avoid the poison surrounding him as well as the Ty-foos which may blow him in. Mario may capture a Ty-foo to blow the Spinies into the poison, defeating them. Near the start of this section, two Ty-foos can be seen blowing a wooden block toward each other along a slab of ice. Mario must capture the second Ty-foo, turn around, and blow the long, tall wooden slab out of the way.
To the left, there are wooden stairs Mario may push toward the gateway. While on top, he may Ground Pound the suspicious mark in the center to unearth a Power Moon. Awaiting Mario is a Ty-foo; unlike the others, this one is out in the open rather than enclosed. Mario may move him over the poison to collect both coins and regional coins. He must then blow all of the Spinies at the end of the section into the poison to reveal a Power Moon next to the Warp Pipe taking him back to Shiveria Town.
After this kingdom's Moon Rock has been opened up, Mario may return to the area here where there is a Power Moon in the area with two Ty-foos blowing some wooden stairs. Mario must use precise timing to obtain the Power Moon.
