This is a list of the 38 Power Moons that can be found in the Moon Kingdom of Super Mario Odyssey.

1 | Shining Above the Moon |
Next to the Odyssey, Mario can find a crater. Above the crater are three Hidden Blocks with the Power Moon found above the third Hidden Block. | Available from the start. |
2 | Along the Cliff Face |
To the far left side of the Odyssey on a lower platform, Mario can find an 8-bit pipe which leads to a 2D area with a few Fuzzies and the Power Moon found at the end. | Available from the start. |
3 | The Tip of a White Spire |
On the roof of the Wedding Hall building, Mario can find a glowing spot on one of the thin spires. Mario must throw and spin Cappy onto the glowing spot to make this Power Moon appear. | Available from the start. |
4 | Rolling Rock on the Moon |
On one of the large craters on the Moon, Mario can find a rock that he must roll until it breaks to obtain this Power Moon. | Available from the start. |
5 | Caught Hopping on the Moon! |
At the southeast side of the kingdom, Mario can find a rabbit that he must catch in order to obtain this Power Moon. | Available from the start. |
6 | Cliffside Treasure Chest |
Near the Ringing-Bells Plateau checkpoint, Mario must jump across a gap to the left of it to get to a platform with a treasure chest containing the Power Moon. | Available from the start. |
7 | Moon Kingdom Timer Challenge 1 |
At the far northeast side of the first area, Mario can find a scarecrow on a lower platform. Mario must throw Cappy onto the scarecrow and quickly collect the Power Moon that appears before the timer runs out. | Available from the start. |
8 | Taking Notes: On the Moon's Surface |
To the far right of the Ringing-Bells Plateau checkpoint on a higher platform, Mario can find a rainbow-colored treble clef. Mario must touch it and quickly collect all of the notes that appear before the timer runs out. | Available from the start. |
9 | Under the Bowser Statue |
At the beginning of the Underground Moon Caverns, Mario must capture the Bowser Statue on the right. He must move the statue to uncover a hole where the Power Moon can be found. | Available from the start. |
10 | In a Hole in the Magma |
Near the spark pylon in the Underground Moon Caverns, Mario can find a hole in the lava that has a key inside of it. Mario must collect the key by capturing a Parabones, after which the Power Moon will be unlocked next to the spark pylon. | Available from the start. |
11 | Around the Barrier Wall |
In the area of the Underground Moon Caverns with the Banzai Bills, Mario can find this Power Moon behind the second wall in this part. | Available from the start. |
12 | On Top of the Cannon |
In the area of the Underground Moon Caverns with the Banzai Bills, Mario can find this Power Moon by ground pounding the top of the second Banzai Bill Cannon. | Available from the start. |
13 | Fly to the Treasure Chest and Back |
At the Banzai Bill area of the Underground Moon Caverns, Mario must capture one of the Banzai Bills and fly back to the beginning of the Underground Moon Caverns to find a treasure chest high above the area's entrance, which contains this Power Moon. | Available from the start. |
14 | Up in the Rafters |
At the top of the Wedding Hall building, Mario can find a small hole underneath the bell that Mario can jump into. Upon doing so, Mario will be warped to the inside of the Wedding Hall building, where the Power Moon can be found on the thin rafter in front of him. | Available from the start. |
15 | Sneaking Around in the Crater |
Near the Odyssey, Mario can find a moving glowing bump in a large crater. Mario must ground pound the bump to obtain this Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
16 | Found on the Moon, Good Dog! |
In front of the Crazy Cap shop, Mario can find a Nintendog wearing a space helmet. Mario must lead it to a corner near a crater with a few broken Moon Rocks. The Nintendog will start digging up a glowing spot and Mario must ground pound it to find this Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
17 | Moon Shards on the Moon |
At the Wedding Hall building, Mario must collect five Moon Shards around and on the roof of the building to obtain this Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
18 | Moon Quiz: Amazing! |
Around the right side of the Quiet Wall, Mario can find the Sphynx. If Mario can answer five of its questions correctly, he will be rewarded with a Power Moon. The answers are "Rocket Flower," "Sheep," "Moon," "Below the bell," and "Floated by airship sail." | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
19 | Thanks, Captain Toad! |
Behind the Odyssey, Mario can find Captain Toad among the residents of the other kingdoms. Once Mario talks to him, he will be rewarded with the Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
20 | Shopping in Honeylune Ridge |
Mario can purchase this Power Moon from the Crazy Cap shop for 100 gold coins. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
21 | Walking on the Moon! |
Near a large crater with pieces of Moon Rock and a few Moonsnakes, Mario can find a Koopa Troopa hosting the Koopa Trace-Walking mini-game. Mario must earn 80 or more points in the minigame to obtain the Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
22 | Moon Kingdom Regular Cup |
At the Wedding Hall, Mario can find a Koopa Troopa hosting the Koopa Freerunning mini-game. Mario must enter the race and then reach the finish line in first place to be awarded a Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
23 | Doctor in the House |
Mario must purchase the Doctor Headwear and the Doctor Outfit from the Crazy Cap shop and talk to a Shiverian who can be found inside the Wedding Hall. After speaking with him, Mario will be rewarded with the Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
24 | Sphynx's Hidden Vault |
Around the right side of the Quiet Wall, Mario can find the Sphynx. If Mario can answer one of its questions correctly, the Sphynx will open up a doorway which leads to a room with multiple coin piles and a treasure chest which contains the Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
25 | A Tourist in the Moon Kingdom! |
After restoring the Sand Kingdom, the player should locate the Desert Wanderer at the Tostarena Town. Mario must talk to the Tostarenan, who states that he wants to go to the Metro Kingdom. After meeting him there, he will later travel to the Cascade and Luncheon Kingdoms, and after talking to him in both kingdoms, he appears behind the Odyssey at the Moon Kingdom. He then awards Mario with a Power Moon after being talked to. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom and collecting the "A Tourist in the Luncheon Kingdom!" 26 | Peach in the Moon Kingdom |
At the top of the Wedding Hall building next to the bell, Mario can find Princess Peach and Tiara. Mario must speak with them, after which they will give him the Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom and talking to Peach in the previous 13 kingdoms. |
27 | Found with Moon Kingdom Art |
Inside the Wedding Hall on the right wall, Mario can find a piece of Hint Art. The Hint Art shows Poochy on a glowing spot in the corner of a wall next to a scarecrow in the Wooded Kingdom. If Mario travels to the Wooded Kingdom and ground pounds the spot shown by the Hint Art, he will be rewarded with a Power Moon. | Available after defeating Bowser in this kingdom. |
28 | Mysterious Flying Object |
To the right side of the Wedding Hall building near a ledge, Mario can find a glowing UFO-like creature. Mario must throw Cappy at it before it flies away to obtain this Power Moon. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
29 | Hidden on the Side of the Cliff |
This Power Moon can be found floating high above the Sphynx and can be grabbed by either wall jumping up the wall or by falling off the edge near the Ever-After Hill checkpoint. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
30 | Jumping High as a Frog |
At the eastern-most platform in the kingdom, Mario should notice a Power Moon floating high above said platform. To reach it, Mario must capture the frog near the Wedding Hall building and backtrack to said platform. He must then jump while still captured as the frog to obtain this Power Moon. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
31 | Moon Kingdom Timer Challenge 2 |
Behind the Ringing-Bells Plateau checkpoint, Mario can find a scarecrow. Mario must throw Cappy onto the scarecrow and collect the Power Moon that appears before the timer runs out. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
32 | Walking on the Moon: Again! |

At the Wedding Hall, Mario can find a Koopa Troopa hosting the Koopa Freerunning mini-game. In the 2D area with the "Along the Cliff Face" Power Moon, Mario can find a rainbow-colored treble clef. Mario must touch it and collect all of the notes that appear before the timer runs out. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
35 | Center of the Galaxy |
On top of the tall cliff near the Odyssey, Mario can find a Moon Pipe which leads to a bonus area. In this bonus area, Mario must make it through a 2D area with planets that have their own gravity and move along a path to find the Power Moon at the end. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
36 | Edge of the Galaxy |
In the area with the "Center of the Galaxy" Power Moon, Mario can find this Power Moon by jumping to a thin platform from the third moving planet. Above this platform are two planets moving in a circle with the Power Moon found in the middle of them. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
37 | Navigating Giant Swings |
On top of the tall cliff near a rabbit to the far left of the Odyssey, Mario can find a Moon Pipe which leads to a bonus area. In this bonus area, Mario must make it through multiple giant blue swings while avoiding Astro-Lanceurs. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
38 | A Swing on Top of a Swing |
In the area with the "Navigating Giant Swings" Power Moon, Mario can find this Power Moon by jumping on the first swing found after the second Astro-Lanceur. Above the aforementioned swing is another swing where the Power Moon is found. | Available after opening this kingdom's Moon Rock. |
