DK's Treetop Temple is a board in Mario Party 8. It is a multi-leveled, jungle-themed board with a giant statue of Donkey Kong, several Barrel Cannons, a mesh wall, bouncy leaves, elevators shaped like barrels, and two Barrel Cannons on the lower paths where players can pay five Coins to be launched higher. The shops on this board are run by Spear Guys. Unlike other boards of the game, DK's Treetop Temple has the typical format of paying twenty coins at the Star Space before it relocates elsewhere, though Bowser also does this if one lands on the Bowser Space. The DK Space causes Donkey Kong to launch the player to the Star Space. There is a Lucky Space at the statue that takes the player to a hidden path with Blue Spaces and a Star at the end.

The board features barrel-shaped elevators, a mesh wall, bouncy leaves, a giant statue of Donkey Kong in the middle, and Barrel Cannons scattered throughout. When someone stops near a cannon, they have the choice of paying five Coins to be fired sky-high to a landing pad, often within reach of a Star. There is also a Lucky Space in front of the DK statue, where it takes the player to a secret path behind the board with a path of Blue Spaces (each with three coins), and a Star at the end. This is the only board in the game that follows all of the traditional conditions of the Mario Party series, where players have to get to the Star Space and trade twenty Coins to get the Star, after which the Star Space would move to another location on the board, and then the process would repeat.
If a player lands on a Green Space in the middle of the board, Ukikis arrive on barrels to run players over with, a la Donkey Kong, also taking away coins during the Last 5 Turns. The Ukikis in the Star Battle Arena roll over characters directly, taking away ten Coins. The Green Space next to the water slide causes players to ride it lower and collect coins along the way. The player loses ten Coins upon landing on either of the three Green Spaces in front of the Piranha Plants. There is a Green Space in front of Spear Guy platforms where a Spear Guy arrives to take a candy in exchange for coins, or just gives them five coins if they have no candies.

Landing on a DK Space makes Donkey Kong appear. Donkey Kong tosses the player all the way to the Star Space, although they still have to trade 20 coins for it. Landing on a Bowser Space makes Bowser appear and move the Star to a different location.
The goal in Star Battle Arena is to obtain two Stars.

Landing on the Green Spaces in the middle of the board makes Ukikis appear on barrels to run players that are in their path off course. In the Star Battle Arena, they will roll right over characters, causing them to lose ten Coins. Landing on the ? Space near the water slide makes players ride it to the lower part of the board, and to get some quick cash. The three ? Spaces in front of the Piranha Plants makes one of them chew on the player that landed there, resulting in them losing ten Coins. The ? Space in front of Spear Guy platforms makes a Spear Guy appear to take one of the player's candies in exchange for some coins. If the player doesn't have any candy, the Spear Guy will give them 5 coins.

In Star Battle Arena, the winning conditions are to get two Stars in the traditional way (just like Grand Canal from Mario Party 7). The DK Spaces and Bowser Spaces retain their function from the Party Tent.

MC Ballyhoo, Mario Party 8

The goal in Star Battle Arena is to obtain two Stars.
