Bowser's Gnarly Party was board above a sea of lava hosted by Koopa Kid in Mario Party 4. He built it in honor of Bowser's greatness and wanted the players to have fun in it – whether they wanted to or not. Here, Koopa Kids were everywhere, and were put in charge of the games and shops.
Bowser's Gnarly Party is a board in Mario Party 4. It is hosted by Koopa Kid, who built it in honor of Bowser. A giant scorched Bowser Shell is in the center of the board, surrounded by a building resembling the Colosseum. There is a stone bridge that gradually breaks as players cross it, and after three times, a different one appears instead, headed the other direction. Bowser always awaits players somewhere on the board, changing his position after a Star is bought from Koopa Kid. Bowser takes away half of a player's coins when they pass him, but gives them fifty if they have none. Bowser uses his fire breath to send a Mini player to a different starting point with two Bowser Spaces and a Fortune Space. Bowser challenges a Mega player to either Bowser Wrestling or Panels of Doom. The player can always get 50 coins from Bowser while wearing a Bowser Suit. Every few turns, Bowser shrinks every player to Mini form for the entire turn. There are tiny pipes that lead to Happening Spaces with a Bowser head statue destroying a player's item.

The main attractions here was the two stone bridges, and of course, Bowser. Every time a stone bridge was crossed, pieces of it crumbled off. When it was crossed three times, it totally collapsed, and a new one appeared in a different direction. Bowser was always on his platform somewhere on the board, waiting for a character to pass him (and changed his position every time a player got the Star from Koopa Kid). He did different things to players depending on what size they were. If a player got to him at normal size, he took away half his/her coins (but gave fifty coins to players that had none). If a player got to him while miniaturized, he used his fire breath to send them to the starting point in the middle of the board. If a player got to him in their mega form, he challenged them to one of two mini-games, either Bowser Wrestling or Panels of Doom. If the player lost, half their coins were taken away. Victory resulted in Bowser leaving the board until the next Star was taken. Also, every now and then, Bowser used his magic to make everyone miniaturized for that turn. Landing on ? Spaces was rare to see here, but was not advisable anyway, for landing on one made the Bowser head statue in front fry the player in blue flames, which destroyed one of their items.
The board has two unique minigames: the Item Minigame is  Koopa Kid Shuffle (Mini-Bowser Shuffle in British English), where the player chooses all three boxes, only receiving the final one from Koopa Kid as the other two become locked; and the Coin Minigame, Brake Bullet Bill, where the player mashes gcn to slow the Bullet Bill that a Koopa Kid is riding, earning a number of coins depending on how much the button was pressed.

The Item Mini-Game of the board involved a Koopa Kid with three boxes. He put an item in each of them then shuffled them around. After that, the player chooses one of them. However, they didn't get the prize of the one they choose, that box instead becomes locked. After eliminating 2 boxes, Koopa Kid gave the item in the remaining box to the player. The Coin Mini-Game involved a Bullet Bill. Koopa Kid shot one at the player, and they surprisingly had the power to hold it back with only your hands. Tapping A repeatedly slowed it down. They got high amounts of coins if the speeding bullet didn't go far, and not too many if it covered a good distance.
After winning the board in Story Mode, the player unlocks the board and is challenged to The Final Battle! before clearing Story Mode.

In Story Mode, if the player beat his/her opponents on the board, Bowser challenged him/her to a challenging Mini-Game in order to win his present. Success here allowed players to play Bowser's Gnarly Party in Party Mode.

Koopa Kid, Mario Party 4

The board has two unique minigames: the Item Minigame is Koopa Kid Shuffle (Mini-Bowser Shuffle in British English), where the player chooses all three boxes, only receiving the final one from Koopa Kid as the other two become locked; and the Coin Minigame, Brake Bullet Bill, where the player mashes A Button to slow the Bullet Bill that a Koopa Kid is riding, earning a number of coins depending on how much the button was pressed.

After winning the board in Story Mode, the player unlocks the board and is challenged to The Final Battle! before clearing Story Mode.
