Big Animal Tokens[1] are a special variety of animal token in Donkey Kong Country. They are exceptionally large and come in the shape of each of the game's four ridable Animal Friends, namely the big Rambi Token[2] (or large Golden Rambi Token),[3] big Expresso Token[2] (or large Golden Expresso Token),[4] big Enguarde Token[5] (or Large Golden Enguarde Token),[6] and big Winky Token[5] (or Large Golden Winky Token).[7] Collecting a big Animal Token doubles the number of mini Animal Tokens an Animal Friend has already collected in a Token Bonus Area and makes more mini Animal Tokens appear in the formation of "X2." Only four big Animal Tokens exist, with one for each of the aforementioned Animal Friends. The respective big Animal Token for each Animal Friend is well hidden in the corresponding Animal Friend's Token Bonus Area, which can be reached whenever the Kongs collect three identical animal tokens.
