The Sound Studio serves as the game's sound test, and features two menus: Music and Sound Effects. In Music, the player can listen to the music heard in the game's microgames, which are sorted by character into 10 individual albums. An additional album titled "Bonus" (represented by a blue Splunk) features music from the larger-scale minigames unlocked throughout the game, as well as other miscellaneous songs. The player can listen to each track individually or the entire tracklist of a single album; alternatively, the player can conduct an orchestra to play the music at their own pace, similar to the microgame Opening Night.

The building as seen on the map screen.

The Sound Studio is one of the buildings the player can visit in WarioWare: Smooth Moves. On the map screen, it is represented by a pair of headphones; when selected, the building is shown to resemble a pair of stereo speakers. It is unlocked after scoring 20 points or more in the Thrilling set of microgames.

The menu screen.

In Sound Effects, multiple different icons fall from the top of the screen, each of which makes a random sound effect and flies into the air when tapped with A Button with the hand (A Sound Studio hand). The player can also change between three different speeds (represented by icons: A Sound Studio buttonA Sound Studio buttonA Sound Studio button) at which the objects fall, and select from three unique songs (represented by icons: A Sound Studio buttonA Sound Studio buttonA Sound Studio button) to play in the background.

In-game description[edit]

"Check out the acts currently taking Diamond City by storm! Here at this studio, we are currently looking for a conductor. No experience needed! Interested parties, please send us your CV now!"

Music[edit]

When a song is played, objects and music notes move from left to right in time with its rhythm and tempo. Each character has a unique object that moves across the screen. If the player chooses to play a song individually, pressing Minus Button starts the song over; if the player is listening to an album's whole tracklist, they can press Minus Button to play the previous song and Plus Button to skip to the next song. There are a total of 183 songs in the Sound Studio.

Any non-boss music track marked with an asterisk (*) indicates that it lasts twice as long as the usual length.
