Paper Dry Bones are paper forms of Dry Bones that appear as enemies in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. Paper Dry Bones attack by folding their copies into paper bones and stacking them up. The bro targeted must counterattack with a hammer when the tower tilts to the right, or it falls on him. They can also attack by throwing bones that bounce across the ground, which must be jumped over in order to avoid damage. Paper Dry Bones are found in Bowser's Castle and an area in Neo Bowser Castle. They also assist Kamek and Paper Kamek in battle after enough turns have passed.

Rare, shiny variants can also appear in place of the regular Paper Dry Bones in the same area. These Paper Dry Bones have greater stats and always drop either an Ultra Mushroom or a Shiny Battle Card when defeated, though their methods of attack remain the same.
