== If someone gets blocked on another wikipedia, then does it mean that they get blocked on other wikis too? ==

Do you have a moment to talk about the coin standardization proposal? {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 22:02, 26 August 2017 (EDT)
:Bah, it's just as mundane as deciding on a set spelling for minigame or deciding whether species templates should be pluralized or singularized. Also, the proposal isn't calling for every instance of the word "coin" to be either capitalized or not; when we're talking about the bog-standard golden [[Coin]]s, do they take a lowercase letter or an uppercase letter at the start. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 23:24, 26 August 2017 (EDT)
::Pardon, but your vote is still there, at least on my end. My proposal is dealing with the standard "Yellow Coin", which is simply called a "Coin"/"coin" in most games. I am not dealing with literally every instance of the word "coin", only the instances involving the Yellow Coins. I'm personally vouching for the uppercase Coin because that makes it clear we're talking about the unique, important Coins. 23:48, 26 August 2017 (EDT)

I'M BACK! Did you miss me? Anyway, what happened while I was gone? I just beat ''[[New Super Mario Bros.]]'' TWICE over the weekend, and now I'm a pro at it! YES! {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 15:58, 27 August 2017 (EDT)

Because it's the main kart of the game. I don't know, I DO think we should say that at some point for all of the karts and characters. ''Mario Kart DS'' was my first video game and ''Mario'' game ever, so I know it like the back of my hand. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 20:50, 28 August 2017 (EDT)

== Peach/Daisy Appearances for ''Mario Party 4'' (Clarification) ==

Yeah, Alex95 - nothing against you, of course, but what I (and others) are trying to get at is regarding that piece of trivia regarding Peach's/Daisy's current main dress/appearance debut on the ''Mario Party 4'' article - we're just ''saying'' that the said installment was when the said designs made their debut and nothing more. I do agree that all ''technical'' details (describing said dresses/designs) regarding this are to be mentioned on the character articles themselves (which I believe has already been done). I hope you're able to understand; thanks so much in advance. --M. C. - [[User:MeritC|Profile]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 11:41, 30 August 2017 (EDT)
: So you also made sure that it still was mentioned on said respective character articles that ''Mario Party 4'' was the installment where Peach/Daisy had their "current main dress/design" debuts and that ''Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour'' was the installment where their current general athletic outfits started to make their debut? I made sure of this too on the technical side because it was still important to mention on said character articles there (and because I usually focus on contents involving the Mario girls in general). --M. C. - [[User:MeritC|Profile]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 12:01, 30 August 2017 (EDT)
:: Yeah, I was also checking those sections too, but I've been busy with other matters outside of here; hope to get those parts as well verified when I get back. I still do believe that it was still worth mentioning there (the "details", of course) for the respective Peach/Daisy character articles. --M. C. - [[User:MeritC|Profile]] | [[User_talk:MeritC|Talk Page]] 14:20, 31 August 2017 (EDT)

== Waluigi edit ==

That's the point. That's the CLOSEST he has ever come to appearing in a mainstream Mario game. And how are TTYD and Kingdom Battle NOT mainstream games? Please explain. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 01:23, 31 August 2017 (EDT)
:They're spin-off games. Mainstream games are those like ''Super Mario Bros.'' or ''Super Mario Sunshine''. In ''PM2'' and ''M+R'', Waluigi is '''referenced''', he doesn't make an appearence. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 02:00, 31 August 2017 (EDT)
but their is a fan game about waluigi called psycho waluigi I know it is not official but it is good though.[[User:Mariostar6|Mariostar6]] ([[User talk:Mariostar6|talk]]) 20:18, 30 October 2017 (EDT)mariostar6

==Re: Sponsors==

Sorry, is there not another way around the sponsors pages? You see, if we add up all of the sponsors from all of the games, which were due to get pages eventually, the number is over one hundred, with over sixty of those from Mario Kart 8 alone. Getting it all into one page would be incredibly difficult, and the page would be huge. Regarding the speculation though, it is only what we think the company is doing and who runs it, as it is not a fact explicitly confirmed in the game. For example, the Peach & Daisy Royal Patisserie most likely is a patisserie run by Peach and Daisy, but for all we know it is really an item shop run by Dry Bones, so that's why I've been using presumably and the like in the pages. Also what do you mean by the validity thing? [[User:BBQ Turtle|BBQ Turtle]] ([[User talk:BBQ Turtle|talk]]) 16:12, 31 August 2017 (EDT)

:Right, sorry, to be so slow to come back but I think I know what to do now about the Mario Kart sponsors. I think a split by game is best, but we may have to double split Mario Kart 8, as there are over sixty in that game alone. I think the best way to order it is alphabetically, as there is no specific in game order. When it comes to the sections themselves, I think I will probably nick the top paragraph from the current articles, with logo descriptions and what's on it, special references and whatever, create a table system for where and how they appear and include a mini gallery with variants for each sponsor, and whack all other pictures at the bottom in a large gallery, and just list the sponsor names that can be seen in the picture underneath. How does that sound?

:Regarding the speculative stuff, I think it may be worth leaving it, as it isn't much. If I pick at random, say, Dream Gliders, the speculative sentence is:
:"Presumably, the company produces the Gliders that the racers use after driving off a Glider Ramp."
:All of them follow much the same pattern, so I don't see the harm in leaving them. In any case it is never more than a sentence, and if I find one that's more, I'll trim it. I'm not going on about some random malarkey in it.

:Oh and just a quick thing- I think Nintendo must've put some thought into them, just look at the reference on Shy Guy Metals. And it wasn't like they barely paid attention, you have to admit, they did appear at the end of the credits, in team selection, loading screens, and in the Sunshine Airport announcements. And if we add all the sponsor over the years together, they've appeared in eight games to date, and in one upcoming one. Also that Kansai airport collaboration thing. So some thought must have gone into it.;P [[User:BBQ Turtle|BBQ Turtle]] ([[User talk:BBQ Turtle|talk]]) 15:43, 1 September 2017 (EDT)

::Thank you, I'll probably stick with the current plan, and then other people can chop and change as they like afterwards. I think that's probably the best way to work. But can you leave the pages until I've got the information from them before getting rid? And I'll warn you now, it'll be a few months before completion, as I go back to school on Wednesday, so editing'll be a weekends, holidays, no homework and trying to avoid homework job. :P [[User:BBQ Turtle|BBQ Turtle]] ([[User talk:BBQ Turtle|talk]]) 16:06, 1 September 2017 (EDT)

I am back Alex 95, and I am ready to control myself. I left a message on my message wall for you. The title is Standard Karts in Mario Kart DS. Be sure to check it out.

== Uploading trouble ==
Ugh, I hate uploading images. They're not that hard, but the images I get can't be used for various reasons, and filling in the information is just a piece of trouble. That's why you don't see me uploading any images to the wiki. I nearly got a virus on my computer for trying a couple of times. Oh...boy, that was NOT fun at all, I will tell you. Anyway, how you doing, bro? {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 20:40, 31 August 2017 (EDT)
:A virus? Perhaps you may want to check where you're pulling your images from. Keep trying, though, practice makes perfect.
:I'm doing fine. Working on some projects and stuff. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 20:42, 31 August 2017 (EDT)

Also, Bullet Bill's name is Killer in Japan. Does that remind you of the killer whale? It does for me. Both are powerful and deadly, and you don't mess with them. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 20:57, 31 August 2017 (EDT)
:...I guess? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 20:58, 31 August 2017 (EDT)
Anyway, my birthday is coming up. It's on September 4, and I turn 15. In fact, I was born the exact same day the Oakland Athletics won their 20th straight game on Scott Hatteberg's walk-off home run and set an American League record for the longest win streak. I hold a personal connection to ''Moneyball'' for that very reason.{{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 21:03, 31 August 2017 (EDT)

Dude! Why you entering in an edit war, buddy? You're a patroller! You should know better! You know what, you MIGHT be hurt badly by that one. :) OK, just kidding. I was just trying to give you a hard time there. But still, doesn't it make sense? I mean, Wario is an anti-hero, so he obviously would be using the ground pound infamously. And the ground pound is more than a butt-stomp, it's a hard-hitting pound and one of the most iconic elements of the ''Mario'' franchise. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}}

I know I'm on a last warning. I'm not dumb enough to forget that. I was just joking, you know. I know you wouldn't try to foolishly enter an edit war like that. And don't worry, my wits are indeed about me. I'm doing just fine. But I can't help but give people like you a little nudge here and there to keep the wiki alive and relaxed. But don't worry, I know to keep my wits about me and not let my guard down. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 23:22, 31 August 2017 (EDT)

== Collaboration project? ==

Hi, I know you're currently creating articles for ''Super Mario Bros.'' levels, but is it possible for us to work on the ''Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle'' levels together? I mean, we '''''did''''' do well in collaborating on creating the ''Super Mario Galaxy 2'' missions, and besides, the level layout in ''Mario + Rabbids'' is pretty overwhelming in and of itself, so I want to see how ''YOU'' would do it! (Two ''is'' better than one in this case!) Additionally, my plan is to do the levels of the even worlds, while you would do the levels of the odd worlds. What do you say? {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 00:05, 7 September 2017 (EDT)
:Ah, but have you considered watching gameplay videos (such as "let's plays")? It's what I've been using to create level articles in the past. In fact, I find it slightly more advantageous because you can actually allow the level design to sink in, like when it helped me create level articles such as [[My First Course]], which I just '''''could not''''' beat. I'm still not trying to force you or anything, but it's just something to keep in mind. :) {{User:Toadette the Achiever/sig}} 00:34, 7 September 2017 (EDT)

== Kinda ==

Kinda is certainly a word. It's listed in the [http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/kinda Cambridge Dictionary], the [https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/kinda Oxford Dictionary], [http://www.dictionary.com/browse/kinda dictionary.com], and even [https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/kinda Wiktionary]. It's informal, sure, and not usable for the wiki's register, but it's a perfectly cromulent word, in the same way that "[https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/alright alright]" is an accepted variant of "[https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/all_right all right]". Sorry about the mini-rant, my hobby linguist knowledge kicks in when people talk about informal words not being words. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 22:00, 11 September 2017 (EDT)
:I'm kind of a grammar police myself :P I use it a lot, actually. I know it's a word, but not one the wiki prefers. I've seen it mostly as slang, though, or what I call a "lazy word". I regard "alright" in the same way, really. Acceptable, but not preferred. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 22:06, 11 September 2017 (EDT)
::"Acceptable" depends on the context of the situation. You wouldn't speak using cold, formal, and unfamiliar language to your close family, for example, just as you wouldn't use highly casual and informal language when meeting the president/prime minister/royal ruler of your country. I agree that "kinda" shouldn't be used for the wiki, but I disagree that there are words that are not preferred in all situations. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 22:10, 11 September 2017 (EDT)
:::Well, yeah, totally. I definitely don't use swear words, for example, as my family and I deem those unacceptable. I suppose I said "acceptable" in a broader sense than I intended. By "acceptable", I meant acceptable on the wiki. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 22:12, 11 September 2017 (EDT)

== Goomba ==

Wouldn't "Goomba (film '''species''')" be more appropriate, considering the article isn't covering a particular character? {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 12:31, 14 September 2017 (EDT)
:Probably. I was going for consistency with the other "film character" articles, but I guess "species" makes more sense. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 12:34, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

== Userbox Tower ==

Hello! I see that the "Shroom' Awards" section of your Userbox tower is messed up, try putting <code><nowiki>{{br}}</nowiki></code> after my Userbox. It should work :) {{User:LED42/sig}} 17:42, 14 September 2017 (EDT)
:It looks fine to me. What do you see on your end? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:44, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

Hmm, maybe it's because I'm using the mobile version... I see the "Shroom' Awards" text written vertically on the right, just after my userbox. The same happened to me, after a userbox I put "Friends" in the tower, and it looked the same as I'm seeing the Shroom' Awards text. So, I put the <code><nowiki>{{br}}</nowiki></code> template, and now looks good. {{User:LED42/sig}} 17:51, 14 September 2017 (EDT)
:Yeah, my user pages isn't exactly "mobile friendly". I'll add the template anyway, see what that does. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:55, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

::Yep. It looks better. {{User:LED42/sig}} 18:49, 14 September 2017 (EDT)

Personally, I lean toward artwork like he do for most ''Mario Kart DS'' and ''Mario Kart Wii'' ones. Personally, I just feel the artwork looks better. {{User|Yoshi876}}
:That's my one concern. While it's fine for the ones in ''7'' and ''8'' because the models are of a decent quality, when you look at ''DS'', they're pretty ugly. {{User|Yoshi876}}

== RE: Emulation ==
You started off with a ROM hack as testing emulator configurations. Try unaltered ROMs first. ROM hacks might have alterations that would otherwise be unplayable on real hardware (search for <code>Everdrive N64</code> on Google). {{wp|ZSNES}} and ROM hacks of ''[[Super Mario World]]'' have this problem. If you still can't get the emulator to work, I can send you my emulator configuration as a ZIP file or something. Delete your emulator folder and save the ROMs and saves. Then extract my contents. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 15:24, 21 September 2017 (EDT)
:It's promising that you gave it another attempt. I only offered as a method to debug the kind of problems you are experiencing with emulation in general. Don't give up on it! Think of my offering as a last resort before giving up. No pressure, but let me know when you want to give emulation a third attempt. --{{User:Wildgoosespeeder/sig}} 15:35, 21 September 2017 (EDT)

== Hell Valley ==

I've been reading a few articles about Jigokudani and I fail to see a connection between the figures on the cliff and the real-life location. Could you elaborate? {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 17:18, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:The claim in the article is that the three figures that appear in the galaxy's background are a reference to this location. My question to you is to explain what connection these figures have to the real life location. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 17:23, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::What do you mean when you say that everything about the figures is a reference? The player doesn't interact with them at any point in any way, and they're only background elements in the galaxy. Nothing about them is a reference to Jigokudani simply because they don't do anything that could constitute as a reference. The only thing that matches is their name, but as you said yourself, "Hell Valley" is the internal name for Shiverburn Galaxy, so of course the internal name for the galaxy's background would match the internal name for the galaxy itself. Perhaps I've misunderstood something: please explain exactly how the figures themselves are a reference to Jigokudani. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 17:33, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:::Pardon my butting in, but therefore the reference should go at the top, not at the part with the "trees." [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 17:43, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:::I am talking about the three figures in the background. I am not talking about the entire galaxy. This is what the article is claiming: "Three mysterious figures appear in the background of the galaxy. The three figures also appear in the background of the Pull Star Planet in Grandmaster Galaxy. They are likely based on an area in Japan named Hell Valley that is hot, but has snow in the area." The article itself is talking about the figures. You are not responding to my queries. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 17:43, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::::Okay, I see where the misconception lies now. The figures themselves do not appear to be referencing anything, but rather the galaxy as a whole does. Looking up more information, I can't find anything about what the figures could be based off of. Doc's suggestion would be better, since the name is a part of the galaxy as a whole. That work for you?  {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:48, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::::EDIT: Actually, that'd look kinda out of place. Maybe just rewriting the sentence would be better. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:52, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:::::I'll tepidly accept a point under the trivia section. Areas with both snow and lava are nothing new, [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HailfirePeaks especially for video games], but the internal name is rather clear-cut. {{User:Time Turner/sig}} 17:57, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::::::(I thought Doc was talking about the top of the page, not the top of the section, whoops) Alright, I have to leave for an appointment in a few seconds, so I'll make the change when I return. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 18:00, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:::::::I '''was''' talking about the top of the page. Move that and the reference to the internal name to the top. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 18:30, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::::::::Okay, that's what I thought, but it would seem out of place up there. It'd fit more in the Hell Valley section or in trivia. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 19:57, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::::::::Heh, been calling it Freezeflame Galaxy this whole time, but it's Shiverburn Galaxy. Still, concept is the same. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 20:03, 25 September 2017 (EDT)

== Level Help ==

Hi, I'm new to the wiki and I recently got autoconfirmed here. Anyway, I was wondering about something. I noticed that you were currently working on The Lost Levels levels and creating new pages for each of them. And from the looks of it, its a pretty big job. So I was wondering, would you like some help in creating those pages? I can understand if you don't want any help. But I just thought I ask, since I want to be helpful to the wiki. [[User:Char89Charizard|Char89Charizard]] ([[User talk:Char89Charizard|talk]]) 17:46, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:Hey, welcome! How much information do you think you'd be able to provide? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:48, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::That I do not know. Most of the information I know about the series is already on the wiki. I guess it depends on what kind of information you need. But nevertheless, I'll do my best to help make the wiki as accurate as possible. I even edit the Nintendo World Championships 2017 page when I first got on here a few days back to include the fact that Miami's Qualifier is cancelled due to Hurricane Irma. I learned that information from the official website. I love the series as much as any other Nintendo franchise. I recently created my user and talk pages so that people can know my favorite Mario games and such. I don't have a profile pic on me yet, but I hope to get one soon. But if there's any type of information you need, what kind of information would that be? [[User:Char89Charizard|Char89Charizard]] ([[User talk:Char89Charizard|talk]]) 23:03, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
:::Hmm that's good advice. I think I'll start checking stub pages first. I'll do my best to provide as much info it needs, unless I don't have that said info. But, hey. I'll give it a shot. [[User:Char89Charizard|Char89Charizard]] ([[User talk:Char89Charizard|talk]]) 23:35, 25 September 2017 (EDT)
::::Alright then. Thanks for the info. And also, I'm looking forward to Super Mario Odyssey. ==Suspicious Behavior==
The pages relating to the ''The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3'' episode "''[[Life's Ruff]]''" have recently been given many edits by various IPs, particularly the [[Herman]] page. One of said IP's is also staring to edit a large amount of ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]'' articles, which has happened recently before with that game. Now this may simply be an anon on a different computer from before because, say, they're at their grandparents' house currently, but I'd keep tabs on it. == Aerodent and cuckoo condor  ==

Sorry for bothering but let me tell you the reason I put these two in the undead category
First off in the aerodent page it states that "Aerodent is a grey mouse ghost that hides inside an inflated bear balloon." which is why I put him in the undead category along with the reason I put cuckoo condor in the undead category which is that all the Wario land 4 bosses are ghosts (except spoiled rotten) and I thought he was a ghost due to his ghost like tail/feather thing which is similar to all the other Wario land 4 bosses (except spoiled rotten again) so yeah
:No bother, thanks for coming to me. It appears the other bosses aside from Spoiled Rotten are marked as undead as well. I must've missed the "ghost" part of Aerodent's info, but thanks for letting me know. I'll correct the info. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:38, 28 September 2017 (EDT)

== Sunshine Mole and Goopy Piranha ==
How are they not bosses? They both take three hits to defeat, one of them has boss music, and the other is constantly spawning minions and requires strategy to defeat. They seem pretty boss-like to me. Every bit as much as [[Big Bob-omb]] is. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 16:50, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
:King Bob-omb is a poor example as he ''is'' a boss through and through. The others are one-time stage bosses, so while calling them a boss isn't incorrect, but with their roles in the rest of the game, it would probably be best to just call them enemies overall. Unless policy says they can categorized as both?
:EDIT: Nope, bosses is a subcategory of enemies, but since not all Polluted Piranha Plants and Monty Moles are bosses, best just leave them as enemies. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 16:53, 2 October 2017 (EDT)

::I don't follow. Big BOb-omb is fought once time in his initial appearance, while the bosses I mentioned are fought multiple times. Polluted Piranha Plant is almost comparable to [[Boom-Boom]] in this regard, albeit only fought once. What makes these any different from [[Petey Piranha]] and [[Gooper Blooper]] within the context of ''[[Super Mario Sunshine]]''? [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 16:56, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
EDIT: Uh, yeah all of them are bosses? Boss Music for PPP? Three hits for both? Strategy for MM? What makes these "enemies" but not bosses? [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 16:56, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
:::They only ever appear in specific missions where only one each appears, and they are the focus of the mission by most of the NPCs in the area, one has boss music, both take three hits, they only appear in very limited numbers....the list goes on. [[Winged Strollin' Stu]] also only appears twice, but it's an enemy because it appears en masse and the NPCs don't even acknowledge them. The only times generic enemies are the focus of a level are the thing with the [[Snooza Koopa]]s, which appear en masse and take one hit, the [[Chain Chomplet]]s, which technically can be considered a puzzle boss, but again appear en masse and only have to be dealt with once each, the Chain CHomp itself, which is more of a sort of-belligerent NPC than anything, and the boos in the first "inside the hotel" mission, which were, again, en masse. Slendermole and PPP seem more like bosses to me. Listing them with bosses feels right, while listing them with enemies feels....forced and stilted. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 17:06, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
::::In almost all of his appearances, King Bob-omb is a boss. The Polluted Piranha Plant and Monty Moles are more like obstructions or maybe mini-bosses. The Piranhas situated around [[Delfino Plaza]] are certainly not bosses. Just because the Polluted Piranhas have their own music (the Monty Moles don't) and take three hits (some take six) does immediately make them a boss. I agree that the game does classify at least some of them as such, that's not my issue. My issue is that there isn't a proper way to categorize them as both enemies and bosses at the moment. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 19:53, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
:::::They come off as bosses in all their appearances, including the Delfino Plaza ones. They give off that impression. And they act as bosses. They don't seem like just enemies. Because they aren't. They're bosses. Also, we count [[Piranha Bean]] as a boss just because it's one-time, despite having normal enemy music and multiple versions appearing at once in the new mode footage. Why should it be classified as a boss and these clear bosses be classified as enemies? [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 19:57, 2 October 2017 (EDT)
::::::I guess considering their roles they would be considered bosses as they do obstruct the player from getting to the goals. ''Nintendo Power'' also calls the Monty Mole in Noki Bay a boss, but the one in Pinna Park doesn't have the same role. ...idk, They definitely seem too major to be a standard enemy, so I guess the closest comparison would be a boss. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 20:02, 2 October 2017 (EDT)

On [[Super Mario Sunshine]], it lists Polluted Piranha as both enemies and bosses, but Monty Mole as boss. Just putting it here so it is convenient, due to it being listed there. {{User:Yoshi the Space Station Manager/sig}} 21:24, 2 October 2017 (EDT)

Hey, it's you! How are you doing? Anyway, why the heck did I get blocked again? I think I know why, but I never suspected it would become much of an issue until a while after I got banned. I thought I had made it clear that I had learned from my mistakes--at least, I hope so, and I intend to. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 21:55, 3 October 2017 (EDT)
:OK, I'll work on that. During my ban, I had a lot of questions for you about the blocking policy, and I analyzed in detail what I did wrong and why I kept screwing up. Ultimately, I realize that I'm trying to be ''too'' flashy and not really mellow down a bit. Of course, I will try to be as excited and hyper as I can be, but I'll be careful not to make a mistake. If I'm just able to hold on for now, maybe, just ''maybe'', that last warning and those two blocks might just fade away enough, but that will take a lot of time. I also have a good sense of humor (I think), but I'm not using it right and yielding bad results. I'm also not really appealing to people by acting like I overloaded on sugar all the time, especially with the administrators. I just need to calm down. God, don't you just hate the GameFAQs community these days? It '''sucks'''. I spend a lot of time on it, and some nasty things can happen, including people trying to force their opinions down other people's throats and acting as if their opinion is the "right", "best", and/or "only" opinion, and as if they are the "true" fans of ''Mario'' and/or Nintendo. That type of stuff usually does happen on GameFAQs, and it is not pleasant. I guess it just rubbed off on me a little too much.

TL;DR Well, that's a very long response. Long story short, the moral is, I need to just be me and act down to earth, and not try to appeal to people and make them laugh by being all impulsive and hyper. I've got the questions for you in just a second, so hold on. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 22:28, 3 October 2017 (EDT)

== Thanks ==

To be honest, I actually did do that, it just didn't say, where it was moved to, and I didn't really know where it would be moved to, as, they're only in the paper Mario series, and I don't know much about that proposal stuff, so, I guess I figured the possibility of someone removing info for no reason and using the edit summary as a ruse thing, (no offense) but what's important is we got it straightend out. that redirect thing thing that someone just added should definetly keep others from obtaining my confusion.[[User:Pikmin theories|Pikmin theories]] ([[User talk:Pikmin theories|talk]]) 21:58, 4 October 2017 (EDT)

==Anon's Mama Luigi edits==
[[File:TorpedoTedCartoon.jpg|thumb]]
In ''[[Super Mario World]]'', [[? Block]]s did indeed have eyes due to being [[Rotating Block]] edits. And as for the "square Bullet Bill," the [[Torpedo Ted]] here does look rather boxish. [[User:Doc von Schmeltwick|Doc von Schmeltwick]] ([[User talk:Doc von Schmeltwick|talk]]) 22:03, 7 October 2017 (EDT)
:Ah, thanks for the clarification on those two points. I'll add back the bit on the ? Block, saying they're based on the Rotating Block, but the other two points don't seem noteworthy, seeing as the "square Bullet Bill" was a Torpedo Ted, who are usually more squarer and longer anyway. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 22:13, 7 October 2017 (EDT)

== Blocking policy questions ==
I've got a couple of questions I was planning to ask you. If they have answers on the blocking policy page, or if someone else has the answers, then please feel free to direct me to the proper places.

First off, how do you dispute a block you think is unfair or wrong? I think this would be very useful if you thought that you did nothing wrong and wanted to contact the administrators to discuss why you got blocked. And second off, what do you do if you're banned indefinitely? How do you appeal a ban or contact the administrator who banned you from the wiki? I feel like this would be an invaluable tool in case I got blocked indefinitely. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 16:57, 8 October 2017 (EDT)

OK. Thanks a TON for the help. I've been wanting to ask that for a LONG time. It's good to see that you still get access to the forums even during blocks. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 17:23, 8 October 2017 (EDT)

And how about redemption? If you got yourself banned indefinitely, then how could you redeem yourself and get back on? {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 17:30, 8 October 2017 (EDT)

OK. So there IS a way of getting back on after you've been banned indefinitely. PHEW! Only problem is, it'll most likely take a few years, which is bad, but at least it's possible. Still, though, I wouldn't want to put myself in that position. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 17:40, 8 October 2017 (EDT)

== ''Mario & Luigi'' project ==
Man, I got to say thanks to everyone who helped me out with the project. It was definitely worth the time, and that includes you, buddy, so thank you very much. But I'm not done yet, we have to do the levels for each of the worlds. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 22:33, 9 October 2017 (EDT)

== "Shiny" enemies in paper jam ==

While in the game, the enemies names don't say shiny, a piece of equipment for paper mario called the [[Shiny Ring]] refers to all these enemies on the in-game description, thus why they need to be on the [[Shiny]] page. Thank you for your time. [[User:Chat Man|Chat Man]] ([[User talk:Chat Man|talk]]) 00:21, 11 October 2017 (EDT)

You claimed the statement of paper enemies making their debut was contradictory, I'm not gonna change the edit, but I would like to point out that the paper characters in paper jam are individual characters from the characters in the paper mario games, I was just trying to clarify that these "paper" characters first appeared  in this game. :Doing good so far. You still need to fix your sig, though. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 23:40, 12 October 2017 (EDT)
Ehhh...it's grown on me. I don't know why, but it just has. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 23:41, 12 October 2017 (EDT)
:It needs to match your current name. Currently, the signature is transcluding a redirect. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 23:43, 12 October 2017 (EDT)
Oh, is that what the policy says? Dang it, I KNEW this sort of thing would come back to bite me in the back. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 23:45, 12 October 2017 (EDT)

== New vs Untold ==
Oh, come on. How this is a "new" adventure! It's ''not''! Ugh, it's just wrong to call the adventure as "new", when it's been in the books for a long time. I'd rather go with "untold" or "major", or just something that cements it as developing alongside and ''with'' the main Mario Bros story, and being directly connected to and with it, than just some stupid side adventure. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 22:03, 13 October 2017 (EDT)
:It's a new mode to an old game. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 22:10, 13 October 2017 (EDT)
Still, it's not a new adventure. {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 22:20, 13 October 2017 (EDT)
:I get what you're trying to say, that an additional mode to an older game would be something similar to an untold tale. However, does that mean ''[[Mario Bros.]]'' would be an untold tale to the [[Super Mario Advance (series)|''Super Mario Advance'' series]]? Or the [[Red Coin]] and [[Yoshi Egg]] searches in ''[[Super Mario Bros. Deluxe]]''? It's a new mode, through and through.
:Also, you need to update your preferences, as your sig is still transcluding your original name. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 22:24, 13 October 2017 (EDT)
OK, I get it now. And what? Can't you see my signature right now? {{User:Skuchi037/sig}} 00:23, 14 October 2017 (EDT)
:I can see what your signature is supposed to show, but it's stiil being transluded through text as <nowiki>{{User:Skuchi037/sig}}</nowiki>. Click Edit here and you'll see what I mean. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 01:16, 14 October 2017 (EDT)
Hmmm, what? "Parallel to" means they don't connect. "Right alongside" means they do. What am I missing here? {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 17:29, 14 October 2017 (EDT)

I'm still very new to all this stuff here so be patient with me.

Yes, there is. It's not "Confuse Petuni" or "Baffle Petuni" for a reason. It's ''Stump'' Petuni, and that's because they are in a tree. It IS a play on words. {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 16:41, 22 October 2017 (EDT)

So I recently started playing mario odyssey and have been playing. In the Lake kingdom multiple dorries appear and an NPC refers to a specific one as "the dorrie" which makes them a collective species under that name. Dorrie is a specific dorrie. [[User:Chat Man|Chat Man]] ([[User talk:Chat Man|talk]]) 14:51, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
:Hm, interesting. The main [[Dorrie]] page appears to be addressing every instance of the Dorries that have appeared, so I'm not sure if such a page is needed if they only show in ''Odyssey''. The creation of a species page should be brought up on Dorrie's talk page. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 14:55, 28 October 2017 (EDT)

Is there any relation between Homer's Odyssey and Mario's Odyssey? I'm suspecting there is. {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 17:03, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
:Homer who? {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:06, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
I'm talking about Homer. You know, the guy who wrote those two Greek epics. One of them was called the ''Odyssey''. Is that what they're alluding to in ''Mario Odyssey''? Let me guess, you don't know. {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 17:18, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
:Oh, good, at first I thought you were talking about Homer Simpson. But, no, I don't think there's a connection between either of them. "Odyssey" means a long voyage filled with hardships and fortune, which would sum up both stories fairly well, but I don't think Homer had spaceships and dinosaurs in mind. ''Doctor Who'' would bear a better similarity. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 17:23, 28 October 2017 (EDT)
Maybe it would, but Mario's airship is literally named the ''Odyssey''. I'm starting to smell something fishy here, but I'm not sure if it's for real. However, I do think Nintendo named the game after Homer's epic due to the similarities, but that's where the connections end. {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 17:25, 28 October 2017 (EDT)

Basically, don't try to pick a fight with spammers and vandals, and just anybody who tries to interfere with the activities of the wiki. I could say that I can't help but throw a jab or two at them, but let's face it, we have gone way past that, and there is simply no excuse for such insulting behavior. Just undo their edits and leave it at that. I got it. {{User:Lcrossmk8/sig}} 19:50, 28 October 2017 (EDT)

im asking why did you delete my edit of donkey possibly being fused with a rabbid I mean it sure is possible because the tie does have dk's initials on it and spawny can fuse stuff with rabbids so just wondering.
==Sentence structure==
This sentence has been like this on [[Aces High]] since near the page's creation: "The only way the player can get rid of the following Bullet Bill is to do an off-course and get rid of it." Do you think you can make the sentence sound better? I asked Mario jc this a few days ago, but he didn't reply. Do you have an answer to my question? [[User:Dwhitney|Dwhitney]] ([[User talk:Dwhitney|talk]]) 17:04, July 5, 2021 (EDT)
:I think by "off-course", it means the player has to flying into the course's barrier, which will make them do an immediate U-Turn. The action would result in the Bullet Bill flying past them. I haven't played ''MP3'' in a long time, but that's how I'm understanding it. {{User:Alex95/sig}} 00:37, July 6, 2021 (EDT)
::Mario jc did reply to my question, saying, "Maybe it can be changed to 'The only way the player can evade a Bullet Bill pursuing them is to veer away from its trajectory.' but this is based on footage I watched since I don't own the game." Now I'm wondering whether the sentence is referring to how a player can get rid of a Bullet Bill he or she launched or how a player can avoid it, the former sounding more likely. [[User:Dwhitney|Dwhitney]] ([[User talk:Dwhitney|talk]]) 01:11, July 6, 2021 (EDT)
::Maybe I misinterpreted "following Bullet Bill" as meaning the first Bullet Bill that a player launches. [[User:Dwhitney|Dwhitney]] ([[User talk:Dwhitney|talk]]) 01:41, July 6, 2021 (EDT)
:::I think "following Bullet Bill" is referring the the Bullet Bill that is going after a player. I think this might work: "If being chased by a Bullet Bill, the player needs to head toward the arena's barrier, which will cause them to automatically turn around and make the Bullet Bill miss." Someone with ''MP3'' should verify, however. If only there was some kind of retro digital service Nintendo could've put this game on... {{User:Alex95/sig}} 13:36, July 6, 2021 (EDT)

well I know that there is no specific proof that shows but I personally think that the exact dk tie is enough proof also what else will create a identical tie well a rabbid probably couldent steal it beacause it is a rabbid and dk is a gorilla so if it tried to steal his tie well you can probally guess by now plush it has the exact same personality as dk loves bananas etc. so if dk was fused with a rabbid it will make sense if it has the same dna mixed with it also bowser jr. has already said that he was created by spawny it would be impossible for it to be big from the start because of what bowser jr said

Hey, have you checked out the hype over ''Super Mario Odyssey''? It just released around the world three days ago, AND IT PASSED THE BAR! YES!! It's so STINKING AWESOME, man, and Nintendo just '''BLEW OUT''' the expectations THAT EVERYONE PUT ON IT! THEY DID IT '''AGAIN'''! (Please excuse my shouting, I know I am being WAY too loud for this, but you REALLY need to know exactly how I feel. ...Okay, maybe not, but you get the point, right? ==Ban==
To explain in short before other users question the reason, Alex95 is banned due to a sitewide consensus on our Discord channel: he had been asking large sums of money from multiple community members, and while he likely not directly involved with the alleged fraud that may have happened, he was still heavily complicit in his situation and we are banning him for the general safety of the community. He has also admitted that he shared his account with a third party who may have involved with the alleged fraud. Due to that, his ranks have additionally been stripped. He is [https://www.marioboards.com/members/5162/ additionally banned] on the forum and on our Discord. {{User:Ray Trace/sig}} 01:20, April 3, 2022 (EDT)

RULES
  1. Standard Mario Wiki rules apply, of course. No spamming, trolling, vandalizing, removing comments, etc. Please follow the rules, your comment will get removed otherwise. You don't have to sign your comments here, but it'll make it easier for me to get back to you if you do.
  2. No swearing or obscenity. These words will get edited out ASAP.
  3. Please don't ask why I reverted or corrected your edit. Usually, I have a good reason and can back it up. Take a look at my contributions or the page history for more information regarding your edit, if available. If you must, you can ask for clarification, but only if you provide more than "Why did you delete my edit?!" (which will get removed).
  4. Questions about my Power Master games and/or YouTube videos are fine. There are other places for those kinds of talk, of course, but I don't mind them on here.
  5. Any questions relating to a different wiki, please post on my talk page there. If you're here to complain about a block I gave you on other wikis, your comment will be removed, though I may clarify a block on Discord if needed. Though if you need my immediate attention elsewhere, you can notify me here (or Discord), as I'm more active here than anywhere else.
  6. I'm a friendly guy and am willing to engage in friendly conversation, so long as the sections don't become too excessive. If a topic header already exists for your question, please post under that.
  7. I will archive once this talk page reaches 200 messages. Please do not make any message telling me to archive. It's a waste of a notification, and it will be removed.
  8. Unless it's an important response you should know about or if I started the conversation on your page, I will respond here.
  9. I welcome friendship, but only if I know you well enough.
  10. I'm all for helping with games, so long as I own it or the guide! Otherwise, I probably won't be able to help much.

If someone gets blocked on another wikipedia, then does it mean that they get blocked on other wikis too?[edit]

If someone gets blocked on another wiki, than does it mean that they get blocked on other wikis too? This does not include fandoms (ones like mario.fandom.com. spongebob.fandom.com the 2 gone tantrum.fandom.com and other ones too. 107.146.244.150 15:20, June 1, 2021 (EDT)

Not usually. If you get blocked here, you won't get blocked on SmashWiki, for example. Unless you did something very wrong.
"tantrum.fandom", sheesh. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:30, June 1, 2021 (EDT)

OK. 107.146.244.150 20:49, June 1, 2021 (EDT)

I had also submitted a Do you like SpongeBob poll yesterday? and I hope it gets selected as the next poll. 107.146.244.150 18:43, June 2, 2021 (EDT)

Has nothing to with Mario or the wiki, so I doubt it. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:21, June 2, 2021 (EDT)

I also remember submitting a poll to the wiki about do you think Nintendo will celebrate The Legend of Zelda's 35th Anniversary but it got declined. I was not happy. 107.146.244.150 15:40, June 6, 2021 (EDT)

OK. 107.146.244.150 15:40, June 6, 2021 (EDT)

Bowser Castle music (Mario Kart DS)[edit]

Hi, I've come back to tell you something regarding the Bowser Castle music from Mario Kart DS is that it used a sample from the Michael Jackson song Black or White. I found that on the spreadsheet which i have told you about many times. MarioKartFan4863927 14:47, June 6, 2021 (EST)

Honestly complete forgot about that spreadsheet, but what's your examples? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:35, June 6, 2021 (EDT)

Mainly the Mario Kart ones. So are you gonna edit the DS Bowser Castle race course page to add the information that i've just told you and by the way, here's the spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1JJBlHHDc65fhZmKUGLrDTLCm6rfUU83-kbuD8Y0zU0o/edit?pli=1#gid=717751203). MarioKartFan4863927 19:02, June 7, 2021 (EST)

Will look more into it later. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:05, June 7, 2021 (EDT)

Ok. MarioKartFan4863927 16:15, June 8, 2021 (EST)

I listened to both MKDS's Bowser Castle and Michael Jackson's Black or White, and they don't sound at all the same to me. Bowser Castle is actually a slowed down remix of the Airship Fortress theme at times. If there are specific points in the soundtracks you are referring to, point me to them, but I'm pretty sure any connections are coincidental. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:47, June 8, 2021 (EDT)

If you look on the spreadsheet, The song "Black or White" is listed under Mario Kart DS as a sample not a remix. MarioKartFan4863927 16:28, June 9, 2021 (EST)

I looked at timestamp 0:57. Not hearing it. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:35, June 9, 2021 (EDT)

Help wanted: rewriting articles[edit]

I found some errors on MarioWiki:Glossary. What's in bold is how I believe the text should be corrected.

  • "A device that allows players to cheat in a game by accessing the game's code."
  • "Also used as an umbrella term for all the promoted ranks (sysops, patrollers, and bureaucrats)."
  • "Their contributions are attributed to their IP addresses themselves, rather than unique usernames."
  • "On forums, avatars are simply the picture or icon that users display on their profiles."
  • "A restriction imposed upon a sockpuppet or severely misbehaving user by an administrator that prevents them from editing the database."
  • "Users that are run by automated scripts and/or programs to carry out mundane and repetitive tasks."
  • "E.g., 'There's a bug in the editor: it writes things out backward.'"
  • "Most often applied to processor-memory access but also used for a local copy of data accessible over a network, etc."
  • "A brief appearance of a character, species, or item in a medium (a game, movie, comic, etc.) other than the one it originated in."
  • "An extension to HTML to allow styles (e.g., color, font, and size) to be specified for certain elements of a hypertext document."
  • "A programming error in a video game that results in unintended behavior, ranging from characters falling through solid objects or otherwise defying proper gameplay, to game freezes and the corruption or loss of saved data."
  • "In some platformer games, there is a certain number of lives that the player has."
  • "When the information from two or more articles is combined into a single page."
  • "An edit that doesn't really change the content of a page, but rather, fixes small details or mistakes, and other such maintenance work." (Remove commas.)
  • "This can happen when subjects are renamed over the course of the Mario series itself, or when a more appropriate and/or useful name is discovered, revealed, or suggested."
  • "In this wiki, the abbreviation denotes generally the North and South American versions of games for the NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, or Wii, but can also include South Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. These versions come into play mainly for region locking, although minor gameplay and localization differences may exist between NTSC and its European/Australian counterpart, PAL, versions."
  • "In this wiki, the abbreviation denotes generally the European and Australian version of games for the NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, or Wii."
  • "Used before a username/a group of users (i.e., "Per X", or "Per all") to indicate that the person agrees with that/those user(s). Used in voting for Featured Articles, Proposals, etc. Etymologically, "per" is Latin for "through", so literally, the voter is expressing their opinion through the other user(s)." (Remove comma after "Per X"; un-italicize "per" after "Etymologically.")
  • "A wiki link where the displayed text is different from the article it leads to. Example: Mario shows up as Mario, but actually links to the Mario (franchise) page." (Remove comma.)
  • "This also includes altering the text (such as making the switch from active to passive, e.g., 'Mario stomped on the Goomba' to 'The Goomba was stomped by Mario.')."
  • "For example, in Luigi's Mansion 3, after the player goes through the door in the back of the Main Observation Room, the rest of The Last Resort becomes inaccessible and the player's only option is to climb to the Rooftop and face King Boo." (This fixes a dangling modifier.)
  • "In Super Smash Bros. games, the term refers to either reducing one's damage percentage or returning to the stage after being attacked or falling."
  • "Short for Role Playing Game." (Add quotation marks around "Role Playing Game.")
  • "A work of fiction (book, game, etc.) that continues the story or otherwise builds upon a previously released work."
  • "A user's name or a design that includes the name, which a user puts below or after their comments on talk pages to show that they were the one who wrote said comment."
  • "Spin-off or spinoff" (This is just another spelling, not a correction.)
  • "A game that has other gameplay types rather than the usual gameplay type it has (e.g., Mario Tennis, Mario Kart)."
  • "A file type that, unlike raster formats (PNG, JPEG, GIF), is comprised of vectors (shapes), rather than pixels."
  • "Short for Table of Contents." (Add quotation marks around "Table of Contents.")
  • "A box that users are free to create and use to describe their likes, dislikes, favorites, and other pieces of information about themselves." Dwhitney (talk) 16:29, June 10, 2021 (EDT)
Changed what I thought needed changing. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 17:35, June 10, 2021 (EDT),
In this phrase, is "actually" meant to be italicized? "A system of classification that separates official media products from unofficial media products and official but disowned works, therefore determining which characters, locations, events, etc. 'actually' exist in a series' fictional universe." Dwhitney (talk) 18:16, June 10, 2021 (EDT)
No, I don't think so. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 18:22, June 10, 2021 (EDT)

Here are more errors I found on MarioWiki:Good writing. What's in bold is how I believe the text should be corrected.

  • "However, there are a few issues that frequently come up with the writing."
  • In the "Bad writing" section, after "Summaries that aren't," "Pseudo-walkthroughs," "Padding," "Mario mania," "Everything but the kitchen sink," "Captain Obvious," "Flowery writing," "Epic writing," "Gridmark," "Reading between the lines," "Unsupported analysis," "Judgement calls," "Knitting everything together," "Fan worship," and "Fusing gameplay and story elements," change the hyphen to an en dash.
  • ""Peach is kidnapped by Bowser and Mario sets off to rescue her." is plot. "Mario traversed the grassy plains of World 1 and used Super Mushrooms, Fire Flowers, and rare Invincibility Stars to defeat new foes and challenge the False Bowser waiting for him at the castle." is not plot. It's cruft." Dwhitney (talk) 16:30, June 20, 2021 (EDT)

Here are more errors I found on MarioWiki:Glossary. What's in bold is how I believe the text should be corrected.

  • "the smallest unit of storage - sufficient to hold one bit." (Change the hyphen to an en dash.)
  • Since "bot" uses a plural definition, I think the word should be "bots."
  • "Cover version (often shortened to cover)" (Put the second "cover" in quotation marks.)
  • "Not to be confused with remix." (Put "remix" in quotation marks.)
  • "It is equivalent to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), from which all other time zones are offset."
  • "Not to be confused with cover version." (Put "cover version" in quotation marks.)
  • "Short for Stupid Pointless and Annoying Message." (Unitalicize "Stupid Pointless and Annoying Message" and put it in quotation marks, simply because other shortened forms on MarioWiki:Glossary are in quotation marks.) Dwhitney (talk) 23:19, July 23, 2021 (EDT)
When do you think you'll fix these errors? Dwhitney (talk) 18:57, July 28, 2021 (EDT)
I've been very busy, will do so when I can. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:43, July 29, 2021 (EDT)

Sentence structure[edit]

This sentence has been like this on Aces High since near the page's creation: "The only way the player can get rid of the following Bullet Bill is to do an off-course and get rid of it." Do you think you can make the sentence sound better? I asked Mario jc this a few days ago, but he didn't reply. Do you have an answer to my question? Dwhitney (talk) 17:04, July 5, 2021 (EDT)

I think by "off-course", it means the player has to flying into the course's barrier, which will make them do an immediate U-Turn. The action would result in the Bullet Bill flying past them. I haven't played MP3 in a long time, but that's how I'm understanding it. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 00:37, July 6, 2021 (EDT)
Mario jc did reply to my question, saying, "Maybe it can be changed to 'The only way the player can evade a Bullet Bill pursuing them is to veer away from its trajectory.' but this is based on footage I watched since I don't own the game." Now I'm wondering whether the sentence is referring to how a player can get rid of a Bullet Bill he or she launched or how a player can avoid it, the former sounding more likely. Dwhitney (talk) 01:11, July 6, 2021 (EDT)
Maybe I misinterpreted "following Bullet Bill" as meaning the first Bullet Bill that a player launches. Dwhitney (talk) 01:41, July 6, 2021 (EDT)
I think "following Bullet Bill" is referring the the Bullet Bill that is going after a player. I think this might work: "If being chased by a Bullet Bill, the player needs to head toward the arena's barrier, which will cause them to automatically turn around and make the Bullet Bill miss." Someone with MP3 should verify, however. If only there was some kind of retro digital service Nintendo could've put this game on... Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:36, July 6, 2021 (EDT)

Hello! I'm planning to creating an article related to the underwater sections in Mario Kart courses. But I'm not sure that this article is required, as I'm afraid it might just get deleted. Can you give me some advice? Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 06:05, August 31, 2021

I don't think we accept stuff like that. We don't cover specific track segments as separate articles. But we have anti-gravity, so maybe it's worth making a talk page question about it on the main talk page or something? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:48, August 31, 2021 (EDT)
If I can suggest something, water/swimming is a common mechanic throughout the Mario franchise that I think might be worth making an article for it, like lava and poison. Maybe a "Water" article can be created covering its appearances and effects in games, including the Mario Kart underwater sections. Theme from a Summer's Place reference in the music for Deep Bloober Sea[edit]

No. It'd be as if the proposal failed, i.e. nothing is going to happen. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:05, December 16, 2021 (EST)

Punctuation in reference tags[edit]

Remember our talk about this? I want to let you know that according to MarioWiki:Citations, "it's preferred to insert the <ref></ref> tag after any punctuation such as a comma or period." Dwhitney (talk) 15:19, December 26, 2021 (EST)

Ye, I'm aware. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:43, December 26, 2021 (EST)

404 page[edit]

On your userpage, the "site that goes into more detail about [you], the games [you] have, etc." links to a 404 page "not found." Dwhitney (talk) 14:33, January 5, 2022 (EST)

Ye, I'm aware. Where it went ended up getting deleted, so I'm working on fixing that. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:34, January 5, 2022 (EST)

Spotlight[edit]

I would like to ask, weren't all of the spotlight goals except for Super Rush completed last month? Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 20:19, January 15, 2022 (EST)

It would look like they are. I guess they were finished after Yoshi876 posted an updated. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:48, January 18, 2022 (EST)
Due to this, will the paragraph of the Spotlight section be changed? Wario (Cowboy) from Mario Kart TourWildWario (talk) 07:56, January 20, 2022 (EST)

Ban[edit]

To explain in short before other users question the reason, Alex95 is banned due to a sitewide consensus on our Discord channel: he had been asking large sums of money from multiple community members, and while he likely not directly involved with the alleged fraud that may have happened, he was still heavily complicit in his situation and we are banning him for the general safety of the community. He has also admitted that he shared his account with a third party who may have involved with the alleged fraud. Due to that, his ranks have additionally been stripped. He is additionally banned on the forum and on our Discord. BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 01:20, April 3, 2022 (EDT)

Would every NIWA wiki ban him as well?

I think so. It’s the only logical choice. Red Oho Jee from Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. OhoJeeOnFire (talk)
