The Special Dice Block Space (Dice Block Space in Mario Party 9) is a space in Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10. It looks the same as a Blue Space, but gives the Captain either a 0-1 Dice Block, a 1-2-3 Dice Block, a 4-5-6 Dice Block, a 1-10 Dice Block, or a Slow Dice Block. In Mario Party 10, the Dice Block is decided by roulette, not randomly. It can also either have Mini Stars or start a Free-for-All minigame. The amiibo Party mode of Mario Party 10 features a different design for the Special Dice Block Space.
The Dice Space is a space that is found during the events in the game Mario Party Advance and Mario Party 9. It is a rare space in the former, while common in the latter.

If a player lands into this particular space, a Dice Block appears above the player's head, giving the player to have another turn of moving onto spaces without using a single Mushroom. The player continues going onto spaces until the player lands on a different space other than the Dice Space.

In Mario Party 9 this space's purpose is no longer what its purpose is in Mario Party Advance and the space has the appearance of a Blue Space. Instead of the Captain landing on the space getting an extra roll with the Dice Block, it gives the Captain a special Dice Block. It may also contain Mini Stars that the Captain will obtain, or it might trigger a Free-for-All minigame as if the player landed on a Free-for-All Space.
