This article is under construction. Therefore, please excuse its informal appearance while it is being worked on. We hope to have it completed as soon as possible.

Template:Level Hornet Hole is the seventeenth level of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. It is the first area of Krazy Kremland.

Before they even enter the park, the Kongs will have to get through a Zinger hive. Since many of the walls are coated with sticky honey, the Kongs will be able to climb them. However, any areas on the floor that are covered with honey are too sticky for them to walk across (unless if they are mounted on one another, or riding an animal buddy). Although Zingers are the main threat here, Krooks, Spinys and Click-Clacks also live in this hive. If the Kongs keep their eyes peeled, they can find the ever-so-useful Squitter near the Star Barrel.

From the start, the heroes need to travel east. As they go, there are a few spots on the ground which are splattered with honey. It is too sticky to walk through, so they must jump through it. There are also Click-Clacks and a Zinger on the way over. Soon, they must hop up a wall covered on honey. It is sticky enough for the Kongs to hand on and climb to the next ledge. Continuing east, they should move on, and jump over a few Zingers over the honey. Then, the group must climb another wall of honey, and pass a lone Zinger on the way up. At the top, they must begin to travel west, where they'll go over more honey and jump over deadly Zingers above it. Later, they will have to jump across a small abyss and land onto a third wall of honey. When the monkeys get to the top of this wall, they need to keep walking through the gooey honey all over the ground. There are some Spinies on the way to dodge, and they are close together, so it isn't easy to bounce in between them. After they are passed through, the monkeys should reach the Star Barrel nearby.

At this point, the Kongs must continue forward and climb up yet another honey-splattered wall. When they get to the top of the ledge, they'll have to jump over a couple Zingers through more sticky honey, and then grab onto a hook, in which another bee is flying around. Without being attacked by the foe, they should quickly hop to the ledge to the right and walk along the path east. The heroes need to go through more honey here, and also avoid more Zingers, along with a Krook. Soon, they will pass two Spinies and have to bounce off a second hook. Again, there is a Zinger around it, so the animals must be cautious as they hop to the next ledge. From there, the monkeys need to continue east and jump down what appears to be large stair, cluttered with Spinies. As they keep moving through the honey, they'll have to climb up another small wall with honey on it. They should be on a ledge with a Krook here, and then bounce to the left onto another wall. As the group climbs up this, there will be a fast-moving Zinger to watch out for. Once they are to the top, going west, the heroes must dodge more Spinies over gooey honey, and bounce across a hook to another wall. After the Kongs climb the whole way up this, there will be a Krook waiting to attack. It can be easily defeated with a normal jump. After this point, they need to avoid more enemies and get across two more hooks. They should on a pile of sticky honey, and also pass the No Animal Sign, which will make the Animal Buddy, Squitter disappear. After this, the monkeys need to get up the final honey wall, and hop on the landing pad, which will allow them to leave the level.

Bonus Barrel(s)

At the start of the level, there is a hook above the Kongs. Using the Team Up move, they must toss a monkey up to it, and grab on. After this, there is a wall of honey to climb. As they make their way up, they should see an open doorway into the Bonus Level. Here, they need to carry a treasure chest through the stage and through it at all the Zingers they see. When the last villain is hit, the Kremkoin will fall out of the chest to get.

In front of the entrance to the first Bonus Level, the heroes must simply drop down the ledge, where they'll see another entryway. It leads to the second Bonus Level, where the monkeys must climb up a long wall of honey. When they are at the top, they can grab the Kremkoin.

Right after they climb the wall near the second Krook in the level, the group must use Squitter to build webs up to a hidden ledge northeast of where they're standing. They will meet a Zinger, who is guarding the entryway to the Bonus Level. The spider must simply defeat him with a web, and then walk into the Bonus Stage. Here, the heroes need to climb up a wall of honey, or use Squitter's webs, to reach the Kremkoin, which is on the top ledge.

DK Coin

Near the end of the level, the heroes should find a Zinger above a tiny gap. If they have gotten Squitter, they must use him to defeat the enemy and drop down into the small chamber. Here, they will see two Zingers blocking their path, whom they should beat with Squitter's webs, and collect all the bananas past them. If the Kongs climb up from this point, they will notice the DK Coin.

Golden Feather (GBA Only)

To find this level's Golden Feather, the monkeys must stand at the end of the ledge that is right from the Star Barrel. From there, they must jump through the air and move torwards a banana. When they touch it, a hidden hook will appear. The Kongs must hop east to the following hooks. One of these hooks should have the feather slightly under them.

Bonus Level(s)

After the heroes climb the first honey-covered wall in the level, they should look to the left, where they'll see a Zinger, with a barrel next to him. It is too far to reach with a normal jump, so they need to break open the ! Barrel farther on. It will give them temporary invisibility. Then, the group must quickly come back before their short-lived ability wears off, bounce off the Zinger, and fall right into the barrel. It will shoot them to a honey wall, which they should climb. At the top of the ledge is the Bonus Barrel, leading to the Bonus Level. Here, the Kongs need to climb up another wall of honey, then drop down into an abyss. After this, the will see the Kremkoin next to a Spiny.

DK Coin

Right after the second No Animal Sign (the first being before the Bonus Barrel), they heroes must simply fall through the abyss to the left. As they drop down, they will collect some bananas, until they reach the bottom, where they'll get the DK Coin instead.
