Sumida River Boat Ride is a minigame in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. It can be played through Story Mode or in the Game Room.
Gameplay
Mario races Bowser on a boat in the Sumida River. While racing, Mario must avoid Cheep Cheeps and other boats while jumping on waves to beat him. If Mario's boat comes in contact with a Cheep Cheep, it slows him down, and if Mario's boat comes in contact with another boat, he becomes stuck underneath it until the boat has sailed off. For Mario's boat to go faster, the player can press to use turbo.
