Wind Spirits[1] (also known as Gusts[2] or Cyclos[3]) are enemies in Super Mario Sunshine. They each look like a bluish-white square with an afterimage effect and surrounded by some winds. When Mario is on a high place, a Wind Spirit forms. It first spins around Mario, then suddenly stops and charges him. If it hits him, Mario usually gets knocked off the platform. Wind Spirits can be temporarily dispatched using FLUDD and defeated using a Yoshi's tongue. Wind Spirits yield a single coin upon defeat.
