Eely-Mouth is an eel dwelling in an underwater chamber below Noki Bay and a boss in Super Mario Sunshine. Its gingivitis is the cause of the widespread pollution in the area. In order to purify Noki Bay's water, Mario must clean Eely-Mouth's eight teeth, three of which are rotten and fall out after being sprayed with FLUDD's water. Eely-Mouth has two separate pairs of eyes on either side of its mouth; one side has a pair of eyebrows, and the other has long eyelashes.

At the start of the episode, the Noki elder explains to Mario that he has finally figured out the problem as to why the bay is polluted, and sends him to the ocean floor to fight Eely-Mouth. In battle, Eely-Mouth is aggressive and spins around very fast, then it rises upward and opening its mouth, giving Mario a chance to clean its teeth by spraying water at it using FLUDD. After some time, Eely-Mouth sucks in water, and Mario as well, if he is too close. If this happens, Mario is quickly spat back out and loses air. Toxic purple tears come out of Eely-Mouth's eyes regularly, and they damage Mario on contact yet refill his breath meter like regular bubbles. Once all the teeth have been cleaned, Eely-Mouth retreats back into its cave and spits out its golden tooth, which turns into a Shine Sprite. As the eel recedes into its cave, it also leaves behind twenty coins in a heart-shaped formation, which float just above the mouth of its cave (collecting them is optional), most likely as a sign of thanks. After Eely-Mouth has completely disappeared, FLUDD comments, "Remember to take proper care of your teeth!"
"Eely-mouth" is one of the names on the scoreboard in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Golf: Advance Tour.

In Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Golf: Advance Tour, the name "Eely-mouth" can appear on the leaderboard.

Eely-Mouth is a boss in Super Mario Sunshine. It is an eel with gingivitis who has caused widespread pollution in Noki Bay,[1] where it resides in an underwater cove. Mario first learns that Eely-Mouth had caused the pollution when he starts the episode Eely-Mouth's Dentist.[1] Mario is asked to remedy this by cleaning Eely-Mouth's teeth.[2] Eely-Mouth spins around very fast before rising upward and opening its mouth, which is when Mario has a chance to clean Eely-Mouth's teeth. Seconds later, Eely-Mouth sucks in water, as well as Mario if he is too close. Eely-Mouth spits Mario out after sucking him in. Eely-Mouth's eyes emit damaging purple bubbles, though they can still refill Mario's air supply. Once every tooth has been cleaned, Eely-Mouth spits out its golden tooth, which turns into a Shine Sprite, and returns into its cave, in addition to 20 coins spawning, shaped like a heart.[3] When Eely-Mouth retreats, FLUDD comments about taking care of one's teeth.[4]

"Eely-mouth" is one of the names on the scoreboard in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour and Mario Golf: Advance Tour.
