The Trumpet is a Thing in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. It is first seen in possession of a Goomba in Goomba Fortress. Once he notices Mario, he blows into it to wake up the nearby Bob-omb brigade. Later on, it appears at the top of the tower, collected just before the battle with Megasparkle Goomba. It remains in Mario's Album until it is turned into a Sticker at a Sling-a-Thing station. Once it has been used as a sticker, it returns to its original position. It can also be purchased from the Shady Toad for 90 Coins. Later on, it is used to wake up Wiggler at the start of Leaflitter Path.

As a sticker, the trumpet takes up only one square in Mario's album. If and when it is used in battle, it appears behind Mario, blaring at the enemies while Mario covers his ears. All enemies take automatic damage. Additionally, if the player mashes A Button as the trumpet is playing, they take additional damage.

The trumpet can also be placed into the Sticker Museum as #14, alongside the other musical Things. Its description identifies it as an alarm system successful at annoying and catching trespassers off guard.
