Look This Way
An 8-player co-op minigame in SMPJ
Appears in Super Mario Party Jamboree
Type Kaboom-Squad minigame

Look This Way is a Kaboom-Squad minigame appearing in Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Introduction[edit]

All eight characters face forward until a spinner stops on an arrow, prompting all of them to look in that direction, then celebrate.

Gameplay[edit]

All of the players must work together to face the correct direction—up, down, left, or right—as indicated by the arrow a spinner stops on. If a player faces the correct direction in time, their background changes from gray to green and they earn one point. If a player faces an incorrect direction or does not face a direction in time, their background turns red and they do not receive a point. As more points are accumulated, the spinner becomes faster and may sometimes pause on an arrow pointing to an incorrect direction.

If all eight players face the correct direction in a round, they will cheer and receive a two-point bonus; however, if even one player faces an incorrect direction, all players will groan and will not receive a bonus. The minigame continues for 10 rounds, with the players' ranking depending on how many points are earned:

  • S: 80+ points
  • A: 50–79 points
  • B: 21–49 points
  • C: 0–20 points

Controls[edit]

  • Control Stick – Turn face

In-game text[edit]

Face the indicated direction when the arrow stops. Work together to earn a high score. Watch out for fake-outs!
