The Motor Boat, also spelled Motorboat,[1][2] is a basic motor boat with a wooden design, a barrel-like seat, and life-preserver on the tip. It is the weakest and slowest of the four vehicles leased by Funky Kong in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. The Motor Boat is the only vehicle available from the start. The Motor Boat can only reach a path leading to Lake Orangatanga and Kremwood Forest and a nearby secret cave, Bounty Beach. By pressing X Button while in the Motor Boat, the vehicle will honk. By holding X Button and simultaneously pressing L Button and R Button, the vehicle will play the first few seconds of "La Cucaracha". The patch item can be later given to Funky for an upgraded vehicle, the Hover Craft, rendering the Motor Boat obsolete for the remainder of the journey. The Game Boy Advance version also features the Motor Boat in the first few of Funky Kong's minigames, where Kremlings also ride around in their own black-painted Motor Boats. The player's Motor Boat is equipped with a machine gun that is used to defeat the Kremlings and their boats.
