The Red Jar is a special item from Paper Mario. It is needed to complete Koopa Koot's final favor, though it can be obtained at any point once Little Mouser's Shop in Dry Dry Outpost becomes available.
To get the jar, Mario has to go to Little Mouser's Shop and buy, in order, a Dusty Hammer, a Dried Pasta, another Dusty Hammer, and a Dried Shroom. After this, Little Mouser claims that Mario has fulfilled an ancient will and gives him a Red Jar. However, after Mario gives the Red Jar to Koopa Koot, he complains that it is filthy, but keeps it. He will then award Mario three Star Pieces.
