The Super Whirl Jump is a special move that can be performed by Mario in Super Mario Sunshine. When Mario is hanging from a tightrope, he can use FLUDD to shoot some water. Mario then starts to swing slowly. If he shoots more water with good timing, he will start swinging around the rope, much like with a Wire Spin. If Mario lets loose when the player presses , he will jump forward with high momentum. The player can hold to let Mario stop swinging around the rope before he jumps.
While difficult to control, this move can allow Mario to reach the platforms near Hillside Cave in Bianco Hills or to reach the platforms high near where Petey Piranha was in Episode 5, Petey Piranha Strikes Back, of Bianco Hills.
