Rickety Race is the twentieth level of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy Advance, as well as the  nineteenth level in Donkey Kong Land 2, a similar game for the original Game Boy system. It is the fourth area of Krazy Kremland.
Rickety Race is the twentieth level of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and is the fourth level of Krazy Kremland. It is the second roller coaster with a unique feature of racing nine Klanks to the finish, though this is not a requirement for completing a level. Every time Diddy or Dixie defeat a Klank, though, they receive a prize. The Klank in first has a Video Game Hero Coin, so the Kongs must reach it before it gets to the finish if they desire this item. As the Kongs approach a pitfall, a warning sign pops on screen to notify them of it.

This is the second roller coaster level in the games. Its unique feature is the ability for the heroes to race several Klanks to the finish (nine in Donkey Kong Country 2, five in Donkey Kong Land 2), although this is completely optional, as the Kongs may just take their time through. Every time Diddy or Dixie defeat a Klank, though, they receive a prize. The Klank in first has a DK Coin, so the Kongs must reach him before it gets to the finish if they desire this item. There is also a hidden Plus Barrel in the Donkey Kong Country 2 version of this level that the primates can use to increase their speed. Although Klanks are the only enemies to appear here in Donkey Kong Country 2, a lone Zinger can be found at the end of the Donkey Kong Land 2 version.

Enemies
The level begins on a wooden platform with a track near it. A Skull Cart is on this track with a few bananas above it. Once it is jumped on, the cart begins to move along the track, going up and down two hills. A Klank appears after the second hill that the Kongs must past to gain fifth place. A gap follows this area. The heroes drive down a large hill from here and then approach another gap that they must cross to reach another large hill. Once they ride over the raised piece of the track, another Klank appears if they have already defeated the first Klank. If it is passed, the primates earn fourth place. A hill and a small drop are ahead of here. The letter O is in the middle of the drop. After this, the Kongs head up some hills and cross a single gap on the way. Another gap is reached after they ride up and down a few more hills. The third Klank can be spotted from this point if the others have been defeated. Passing it puts the Kongs in third place. As the primates head up a hill in this area, they approach two gaps.

*K: Just before a large hill at the beginning of the level.
*O: After the gap past the Klank in fourth place.
*N: Obtained by defeating the second-to-last Klank.
*G: Near the gap after the tunnel with the Video Game Hero Coin.

Key items
*Cranky's Video Game Hero Coin: The Video Game Hero Coin can be obtained by defeating all nine Klanks in the main level. Defeating the leader will yield the Coin; if he rides off the track, the Coin will not appear, even if that results in the player finishing first.
*Golden feather (Game Boy Advance version only): Near the end of the level, the Kongs enter a small tunnel. They must quickly jump to collect the hidden golden feather.

Bonus Areas
There is only one Bonus Level in Rickety Race, listed by its type:
*Destroy them All!: At the start, the Kongs should use their team up move to throw one another upwards onto the above wooden platforms. When they are at the top, Dixie Kong should be used to hover across a large gap to a small tunnel. The tunnel leads to a Bonus Level, where the Kongs must ride a Roller Coaster on a track with a few gaps in it. As they ride, several Klanks drive towards them. They must defeat at least five of these Klanks within ten seconds to make a Kremkoin appear at the end of the area. They must collect this coin before the remaining time runs out, and without falling into any abyss.

Once they cross the gaps, they reach another drop. When the Skull Cart lands on the separate track, it rides up a small hill and passes the letter N. Another hill follows this hill, but a gap is at the top of it for the heroes to cross. A Klank appears at this point if all others have been defeated. The Kongs can claim second place from it. Once the primates ride up and down a few more hills, they reach yet another abyss, which has the fifth and final Klank after it. As they chase this Klank, they ride down a large hill with the letter G above it. A small gap and more hills are ahead of here. Once they ride up and down all the raised pieces of the track, they come up to a Zinger by a wooden platform. A sign that makes the Skull Cart disappear is on this platform. A spring can also be found here. When they bounce on it, they complete the level.

Bonus Level
*At the beginning of the level, the heroes should use their Team Up move to throw one another upwards onto the above wooden platforms. When they are at the top, Dixie Kong should be used to hover across a large gap to a small tunnel. The level begins on a long, wooden platform with a tunnel containing a DK Barrel on it. The Kongs can find a hidden tunnel above here that leads into a Bonus Level. A track is at the end of the platform, and a Roller Coaster waits on it, along with a Klank in another cart. When they land in the cart, a traffic light appears, signaling them to go. Should the player hold +Control Pad left at this point, they can go backwards to hit a hidden Plus Barrel that will increase their speed throughout the race. When they begin moving, they find themselves still behind the Klank, whom they can pass to gain ninth place; more Klanks appear in areas ahead every time they catch up to one. As the heroes try to catch up to the foe, they pass a gap and then ride down a large hill with the letter K just before it.

Once they make their way down, they ride back up another hill that leads them towards a small gap. It is followed by another small gap with a hill leading downwards at the other side of it.
