'''Flitters''' are dragonfly enemies that first appear in ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]''. These flying insects primarily live in the swamps of [[Crocodile Isle]]; however, Flitters can be found all over the [[Kremling]] home island. These enemies are commonly used as air-grunts by the [[Kremling Krew]]. As such, Flitters spend their days flying in the air, on the look-out for [[King K. Rool]]'s enemies. Flitters are enemies in ''Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest'' and ''[[Donkey Kong Land 2]]''. They behave identically in both games. Flitters are aerial enemies always found flying in midair. Some Flitters remain in their current position, other ones fly endlessly to the left, and few even circle around an item they are guarding. There are a few instances where a couple of Flitters are sorted in a long line, such as at the end of [[Bramble Scramble (Donkey Kong Country 2)|Bramble Scramble]] or in one of [[Topsail Trouble (Donkey Kong Country 2)|Topsail Trouble]]'s [[Bonus Level]]s, and the [[Kong]]s can bounce from them to cross areas that they cannot do alone. Flitters can be defeated either from being [[jump]]ed on, being hit by a projectile, or from the effects of the [[Invincibility Barrel]].


For [[Diddy Kong]] and his girlfriend [[Dixie Kong|Dixie]], Flitters are among the weakest enemies in the Kremling Krew. In fact, just jumping is enough to defeat one. Flitters also don’t actively attack the [[Kong]] duo; they simply follow their flight paths, hitting anything in their way. While some Flitters fly in a straight line, other Flitters fly around in circles, guarding an important item. However, most Flitters are stationary, hovering in one place. Often, Flitters group themselves in long lines. As such, Dixie and Diddy can use this group enemies to reach some special spots, almost inaccessible for the Kongs.

Flitters are enemies in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. They behave identically in both games. Flitters are aerial enemies always found flying in midair.
