First appearance Yoshi's Crafted World (2019)

The Sundream Stone is a sentient stone tablet that appears in Yoshi's Crafted World. The Sundream Stone contains five gems called Dream Gems, which are yellow, green, magenta, red, and blue and surround a sentient stone resembling a sun. This sentient stone makes several expressions depending on the situation. The stone tablet itself is blue, red, magenta, and yellow, resembling a sun. It possesses the power to make anyone's dreams come true, and resides on the topmost peak of Yoshi's Island. During the start of the game, eight Yoshis are seen running around the Sundream Stone when Baby Bowser, riding on Kamek, flies over to the island as Kamek casts a spell that lifts the Sundream Stone in the air. Orange Yoshi is seen hanging on to the Sundream Stone as the other Yoshis start pulling and tackling the Sundream Stone and both sides fight over it, resulting in it releasing its five gems, sending them, the Yoshis, Kamek, Baby Bowser, and itself around the island. Without its five gems, the Sundream Stone turns white.

For most of the game, the stone rests in a dark forest guarded by the Yoshis not exploring. Each of the Dream Gems is obtained after the player defeats a boss in a boss level, and when the gem is reattached to the Sundream Stone, it fills in the colors on the stone, which are the color of the Dream Gem. During The Great King Bowser, the Yoshis find the Green Dream Gem, only for Kamek and Baby Bowser to steal it and the Sundream Stone with the other four gems. Kamek then corrupts the last gem and attaches it to the Sundream Stone, effectively mind-controlling it. Baby Bowser then uses the stone to create a robot of the same name, the penultimate boss. After its defeat, Kamek uses the stone to make Baby Bowser giant, which leads into the final boss fight against Mega Baby Bowser. Afterwards, the Yoshis reattach the gems (which were detached again after the defeat of Mega Baby Bowser) to restore the Sundream Stone, which, with the Yoshis' dreams, creates a makeshift airship that is used to fly all of them back to Yoshi's Island.
