In the [[Game Boy Advance]] [[remake]] of the game, the Flupperius Petallus Pongus is acquired differently, and serves a slightly different purpose. [[Bachelor]] will give the Flupperius Petallus Pongus to the Kongs when they first visit him, explaining that he needs a [[Rose]] for his hot date. By taking this Flupperius Petallus Pongus to Bramble, the Kongs will receive the Rose that Bachelor seeks in exchange. Additionally, the Kongs can get Bramble's Banana Bird simply by speaking to him any time after after they clear Mekanos.

The Flupperius Petallus Pongus, or simply the Flower,[1] is a key item in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. This red flower is required to complete a trade to earn a Banana Bird. Bramble is seeking a Flupperius Petallus Pongus that he can study, but none are able to grow due to the pollution caused by the nearby factories on Mekanos. When the Kongs revisit Bramble after defeating KAOS in Mekanos, Bramble reports that the plant life can continue growing, although the Flupperius Petallus Pongus is yet to bloom. Once the Kongs complete Razor Ridge, the flower blooms at a dead-end path right next to Bramble's Bungalow.

In the remake, the Flupperius Petallus Pongus is given to the Kongs by Bachelor on their first visit, and Dixie and Kiddy can then go to Bramble's Bungalow and trade the flower for a rose.
