Level 4-2 is the second level of Merry Mini-Land in the Nintendo Switch version of Mario vs. Donkey Kong. The target time for this level's Time Attack is 66.00.
Overview
This level introduces a new type of spring which can be carried around. In the first area, the player must drop the carryable spring onto the ground by using a blue Color Switch, then briefly use it to reach the red Color Switch and activate a platform and a Flower Fan on the right. They must float upwards with the spring and use it to jump towards the Key, in the top area which is being patrolled by Shy Guys. After tossing the key towards the blue Color Block gate, the player must make another round trip to reach the key on the other side and use it on the locked door that follows.
In the second area, the player must use the carryable spring to jump towards a set of ropes with a Snapjaw nearby, which can be climbed on to reach the blue Color Switch. After pressing it, the player can climb a blue ladder and use the blue Flower Fan to float themselves towards the next set of ropes with another Snapjaw climbing them. The player then can press the yellow Color Switch and use the yellow Flower Fans to backtrack and carry the spring upwards, then use it to reach the Mini-Mario.
