Level EX-4 is the fourth of the Expert levels in the Nintendo Switch remake of Mario vs. Donkey Kong. It is set in Merry Mini-Land. The level requires 32 gold stars to unlock. The target time for this level's Time Attack is 38.00.
Overview[edit]
This level is a puzzle involving Warp Boxes and Flower Fans. First, the player must ride the red Flower Fan's gusts and press the blue Color Switch, then enter the blue Warp Box. Next, the player must press the yellow Color Switch, carry a Bob-omb into the yellow Warp Box and drop it onto the yellow platform to destroy the Bob-omb Blocks that are blocking off the key. The player then must throw another Bob-omb into a yellow Flower Fan's gusts below a red Flower Fan, and press the red Color Switch so the Bob-omb can float up towards the Bob-omb Blocks barricading the locked door and destroy them. Afterwards, the blue Color Switch must be activated again, then the player must carry the key through the blue Warp Box and then go leftwards towards the locked door.
Present locations[edit]
- Red: Above the yellow Color Switch in the top-right corner of the level. It can be collected with a Handstand Jump.
- Yellow: Located near the player's starting point, behind some red Color Blocks and yellow Color Blocks. A Handstand Jump must be performed to collect this present.
- Blue: Below the locked door, located behind the Bob-omb Blocks. The player can carry the Bob-omb to the ledge where the present is located while the red and yellow Flower Fans are inactive to break the blocks and obtain the present.
