Fly Bombs[1] are Bob-omb-like flies in the Gnat Attack minigame in Mario Paint. If a Fly Bomb is near the hand, it will start homing to the hand and then explode. The player must swat them before their explosions. They are some of the last enemies encountered before King Watinga, the final boss of the game.

They reappear in Super Mario Maker as part of the Gnat Attack minigame. If a Fly Bomb explodes, one second from the 30-second timer is deducted.
