The shell is one of the Brothers Bear items in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! The shell is missing from Barnacle's seashell collection. Dixie and Kiddy can purchase the shell from Bazaar at his general store for five bear coins. Bazaar notes that the shell is rare and that it originates from the ocean floor of Lake Orangatanga. When the Kongs give the shell to Barnacle, he gives them a Banana Bird in exchange. The shell is later displayed on Barnacle's rack amongst his other seashells, although this is not shown in the Game Boy Advance version.
