The Turbo Nozzle is one of F.L.U.D.D.'s nozzles in Super Mario Sunshine. Using it propels Mario forward at high speed. It can be used on land or in water, though Mario's ability to turn while using it is more drastically hindered on land than in water. Using the Turbo Nozzle is the only way to break through Turbo-bashable doors. The Turbo Nozzle can be obtained from purple nozzle boxes. However, they are not available at the start of the game, and the boxes will be transparent and intangible. To make the boxes active, Mario must collect 25 Shine Sprites, after which Shadow Mario will be seen in Delfino Plaza. Chasing him down unlocks the Turbo Nozzle for use in all levels.
