Metal doors,[1] also referred to as steel shutters[2] or shutter doors,[2] are objects in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and its Game Boy Advance remake, appearing in the mill stages Doorstop Dash and Squeals on Wheels. In both locations, they can be opened only by triggering another mechanism. In the former stage, ceiling handles open them briefly, and in the latter stage, removing all nearby Sneeks from their wheels opens them permanently. The ones in the former location also have a wide gear at the top not present in the latter. When the Kongs touch a metal door, they are pushed away a bit.
