A Mini Bowser Jr. is a wind-up toy modeled after Bowser Jr. and makes its first appearance in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. It is unlocked via a Bowser Jr. amiibo. Its unique ability, called the Spike Guard, enables it to cross spiked floors without losing a life, thanks to the mini Junior Clown Car it is always riding. Every time it steps on spiked floors a helicopter sound can be heard and dust is blown from the Clown Car's propeller.
