Trivia
- Although the stage's background is from the level Yoshi's Island 1, the song is derived from the level Yoshi's Island 3.
- In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, if Pokémon Trainer is standing on a Turning Block in this stage, when it flips, he will be shown standing in midair.
- Yoshi's Island is the only Yoshi franchise stage to not be based on an area from a game in that series, but rather a Mario franchise one.
- If one looks closely at the reflection on Metal Mario's trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee, one can see the Yoshi's Island stage.
