The Statue of Prometheus appears in the Super Mario franchise as an item in the PC, SNES, and NES versions of Mario is Missing! that could normally be found at the Rockefeller Center in New York City, like in real life, though it had been stolen by Koopa Troopas, leaving the Rockefeller Center unable to operate and forcing Luigi to retrieve torch and prove its authenticity by answering trivia questions.

  • Boy: "That god has been painted gold. He must look at the ice-skating rink and get awfully cold."
  • Tourist: "Besides the skyline, this statue in those rings says New Yawk. Carnegie Hall next?"
  • Business Woman: "The Plaza was named for Rockefeller. Maybe that fellow is 24k gold."
  • Scientist: "60th Center and Plaza are named for Mr. Rockefeller who built this in the Depression. That's a Greek god."
