In the [[Game Boy Advance]] [[remake]], the Flupperius Petallus Pongus has a slightly different purpose and is acquired differently. The Flupperius Petallus Pongus, or simply the Flower,[1] is a key item in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!. This red flower is required to complete a trade to earn a Banana Bird. Bramble is seeking a Flupperius Petallus Pongus that he can study, but none are able to grow due to the pollution caused by the nearby factories on Mekanos. When the Kongs revisit Bramble after defeating KAOS in Mekanos, Bramble reports that the plant life can continue growing, although the Flupperius Petallus Pongus is yet to bloom. Once the Kongs complete Razor Ridge, the flower blooms at a dead-end path right next to Bramble's Bungalow.

In the remake, the Flupperius Petallus Pongus is given to the Kongs by Bachelor on their first visit, and Dixie and Kiddy can then go to Bramble's Bungalow and trade the flower for a rose.
