This moon is located on a tall stone pillar in northern Tostarena. Then, he can make his way to the pillar and ground-pound its center for the moon. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
76 | On the Eastern Pillar |
As the name suggests, this moon is located on the easternmost pillar, sealed in a stone block. Mario must lure a Bullet Bill to the pillars between Tostarena Ruins and Jaxi Ruins, then capture it. On the way to the easternmost pillar, it's highly recommended that the player shakes the Joy-Con to cover more distance before the Bullet Bill explodes prematurely. 78 | Poster Cleanup |
Although Mario defeated Bowser and canceled his wedding with Peach, 17 of Bowser's posters have recently been applied on the walls of building in Tostarena Northwest Reaches. Many of these posters are on higher reaches of the walls, and may require Mario to jump off of the nearby sand mound or the spineless cacti to remove them. Once all 17 posters are removed, a nearby Tostarenan will reward Mario with a Power Moon as a thanks. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
79 | Taking Notes: Running Down |
There is a rainbow treble clef in the near southwesternmost corner of Tostarena, found nearby two large cacti. The notes that spawn form a straight line pointing northeast and last only 10 seconds. 84 | Where the Transparent Platforms End |
On one of the two knolls rising between the Odyssey and Tostarena Town lies a Moon Pipe that leads Mario into a sub-area, consisting of an enormous corridor. Mario can capture the Moe-Eye at the entrance and enable its shades to reveal a series of invisible platforms leading to the end of the corridor. Soon afterwards, Mario comes across a wide platform that starts moving along the corridor when stepped on. As he travels on the platform, Mario must navigate a transparent maze whose walls may push him off. Once at the end of the corridor, Mario must jump off the moving platform and collect the Power Moon in front of him. A Moon Pipe leading to the exit is in the same area. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
85 | Jump Onto the Transparent Lift |
At the beginning of the previous area, Mario can capture the Moe-Eye and look down towards the chasm and to the right to spot a platform lying close to the wall. The player can reach the platform by falling off a moving ledge. The platform starts moving once mounted, directing Mario straight into a key that triggers a Power Moon near the entrance at the top. The platform will then lift Mario directly by that spot. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
86 | Colossal Ruins: Dash! Jump! |
Once Mario enters the Moon Pipe at the Tostarena Ruins Entrance, he is brought into a dark area bottomed by a poison lake. Here, Mario must capture a spark pylon to reach a rounding road that immediately starts collapsing in the poison. Mario must evade the sinking road by using several Rocket Flowers. On his way, he eventually has to dash on a huge curving wall, jumping over gaps in the road all the while. After a final stretch, Mario encounters a Power Moon and a long platform rises from the poison, leading him back to the start of the area. Even in Assist Mode, the poison instantly kills Mario if he falls into it. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
87 | Sinking Colossal Ruins: Hurry! |
In the same area as above, Mario can collect a key located near the bottom of the inclined wall. It can be reached by sticking to the lower path, hopping several gaps meanwhile. The key unlocks a Power Moon right beside the starting point, where Mario eventually goes back. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
88 | Through the Freezing Waterway |
At the north-eastern edge of the desert, east from the Inverted Pyramid, is a Moon Pipe located among several cacti and shrubs. It leads Mario to a side-scrolling section, where he has to navigate a channel with long stretches of freezing water. To do so, he must capture Gushens that keep him safe from the water, then charge forward, up and over incoming obstacles, mostly including pools of poison and moving platforms. The water in the channel allows Mario to regenerate the Gushen's water reserve. At the end of the channel, after a long stretch of poison, lie the Power Moon and the exit. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
89 | Freezing Waterway: Hidden Room |
With a Gushen captured, Mario must use the first moving platform to fly further upward, then head to the left and dash through a long poison tunnel. At the end lies a Power Moon, accompanied by some freezing water and another Gushen to help Mario head back. | Available after opening the kingdom's Moon Rock. |
