The 'Shroom:Issue 209/Staff Notes
Staff Notes
Written by: Shoey (talk) and Meta Knight (talk)
Hello, and welcome to issue 209! It's an exciting time to be alive. We've entered the era of the Ring General Gunther as World Heavyweight Champion, the theatrical re-release of Coraline is killing it at the box office, and, most excitingly, COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BACK, BABYYYYYYYYYY! That's right, after a seemingly infinite absence, college football is finally back! That means every Saturday there will be at least 12 hours of nonstop, bone-crushing action! This is the first year with my beloved Oregon Ducks (and three other loser northwest teams nobody cares about) in the Big 10, and, spoiler alert, they're going right to the top!
Now, in 'Shroom-related news, it's bit of a light month this month since Rose stole so much of our talent for their little rinky-dink Awards show, that jerk! That doesn't mean that The 'Shroom isn't still full of quality sections! We've even got two new sections this month! I, Shoey, have returned to Strategy Wing with Another Ogre Battle Section, a sequel to An Ogre Battle Section, this one being a strategy guide on Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Caliber on the Nintendo 64. Then, in Critic Corner, newcomer Paper Plumm debuts A Paper Mario: The Origami King Review, the first part in a four-part review of the Nintendo Switch hit Paper Mario: The Origami King.
Just one last thing. Unlike 2020 game of the year Super Mario Bros. 35 (please Nintendo, bring it back, I'm begging you), The 'Shroom's big hit CYOA game is not a timed exclusive and can still be played whenever you want!
Quack Quack!
—Shoey, Director
Hey there everyone, did you enjoy the Awards Ceremony that occurred during a week ago? Hopefully so, but we've got The 'Shroom fresh off the press to be delivered digitally directly to you! We have a bunch of excellent content for you from our regulars, and a couple new sections too! There's not too much to announce other than that, but be on the lookout for Issue 211 in October! We'll have plenty more to announce regarding that in the future, but for now please enjoy this current Issue 209!
