This is a list of pre-release and unused content from Mario Party 7.

Early builds[edit]

The pre-release title screen features Mario riding on the MSS Sea Star, passing by various characters from Mario Party games standing on islands. In the final game, the characters are seen running around the world.

The HUD for certain minigames, such as Target Tag, is different than the final version.

The design of the eight-player Player Panels is different from the final version; it was originally borrowed from Mario Party 6.

Originally, dizzy characters would have winged stars floating around their heads, like in the previous three Mario Party games. In the final version, it was changed to non-descript flashes in front of their eyes.

The font for the announcement text in minigames used a purple color like in Mario Party 6 instead of orange like in the final game, and the letter animation used for all minigames in the E3 2005 trailer (whether Battle or not) is the one used for the Battle minigame from that game. The minigame instruction menu also looked very similar to that of Mario Party 6, and the winning music (as faintly heard at the end of the E3 trailer) was reused. An E3 screenshot of Monty's Revenge shows Mario Party 6's timer also being reused, though the final design was used in the E3 trailer instead.

Unused minigame[edit]

There seems to exist an unused minigame in the files of the PAL version. In this minigame, the player must use the microphone to wind-up a mechanical Cheep Cheep and swim down while avoiding the mines.

Debug menu[edit]

Like Mario Party 5 and Mario Party 6, Mario Party 7 has a debug menu that is visually identical to Mario Party 4's debug menu, again with the minigame names being changed.[1]
