Level 12 is the twelfth main level featured in Mini Mario & Friends: amiibo Challenge. This level introduces Cannon Kongs. Any of the Minis can be used in this level.

Overview[edit]

The Goal Door is located above and to the right of the Mini's starting position, between some walls of rocks. To reach it, the player must remove the Movable Pipe above the Mini and place it in either of the two gaps near the Cannon Kong on the bottom right, then tap the Mini to set it in motion; after blasting out of the Cannon Kong on its right, the Mini will smash through several rocks, then enter the pipe at the bottom. If the player has placed a pipe to the left of the bottom Cannon Kong, they should draw a Red Girder underneath it to keep the Mini from falling. The Mini then enters the bottom Cannon Kong and blasts through more rocks to the top of the level; the player should draw another Red Girder on the top level for the Mini to land on. After the Mini turns around, the player must place one Movable Pipe near the top left and another at the top right; the Mini will blasts through another rock wall and into the left pipe, coming out on the right. Finally, the player should remove the Red Girder at the top right and draw two more: a horizontal one on the right side of the level with the Goal Door, and a vertical one directly to the left of the door. This allows the Mini to blast out of the final Cannon Kong and turn around so that it enters the Goal Door.

amiibo Tokens[edit]

The first amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Mario and his Wall Jump ability. It is near a small wall in the top left corner. The player must follow the same route to the Goal Door; however, before Mini Mario enters the Cannon Kong at the top, they should draw a diagonal Red Girder in front of the Cannon Kong leading to a small ledge at the top. After Mini Mario is shot out and climbs onto this ledge, the player should place two pipes in the gaps at the top right, then remove one pipe and place it at the bottom of the shaft on the left once Mini Mario has crossed the pipes. When Mini Mario hits the wall after falling onto the pipe at the bottom, he will Wall Jump up the shaft and into the amiibo Token.

The second amiibo Token must be obtained using Mini Yoshi and his Eat Enemies ability. It is located in an alcove below Mini Yoshi's starting position, blocked off by three Piranha Plants. The player should follow the same route to the Goal Door, but after blasting out of the first Cannon Kong, they must remove the pipe at the bottom and draw a Red Girder across the hole to the right of the alcove. After Mini Yoshi crosses the girder, he will eat the Piranha Plants before walking into the amiibo Token.
