"Le Costaud et le Flémard !" is a skit that aired as part of Donkey Kong Planet. While no footage of the skit exists online, the entire script can be found on the official Donkey Kong Planet website.[1] It is a parody of the fable The Fox and the Crow as written by Jean de La Fontaine.
Summary[edit]
Donkey Kong (called "the strong") is lazily lying on a deckchair, in the shade of his parasol, and Funky Kong (called "the lazy") approaches him. Funky asks DK why he is slouching despite being very handsome and suggests that he flex his pectorals. DK becomes overjoyed at this, then leaves his seat and stands up to show off his muscles. Funky then sits on DK's deckchair and states that every flatterer lives at the expense of his listener and that "this lesson is worth a deckchair, no doubt..." Angered at his words, DK decides to get revenge on Funky and smashes his head in. Then, at the end of the skit, Funky stands towards the camera with his teeth knocked out, saying, "Hey!... But that isn't the right ending for this story, is it?"
