"Frequence Kong"[sic] is a skit that aired as part of Donkey Kong Planet. It is framed as an interview on a music show and stars Funky Kong and Donkey Kong respectively as a rude interviewer and an unknown local song artist. The background of the skit constantly changes, with every scene taking place in beach-like areas. This skit shares its name with another very similar skit.

Summary[edit]

Funky Kong interviews Ivan Skivov (who is portrayed by Donkey Kong), an unknown local song artist. Throughout the interview, Funky is shown to be rude, frequently making negative remarks about Ivan. The skit starts off with Funky introducing Ivan, calling him a kind person and explaining that he is from the Santa Rolia town hall and will be singing at the tobacconist's the next day. After Ivan says hello, Funky asks him what type of music he makes: rock, reggae, rap, or techno. Ivan overrules his options, stating he makes tango music, and how "it's all about the dancing." Funky considers that disgusting, then asks Ivan how he started his career. Ivan responds that he was asked to sing at a First Communion, then René the gamekeeper liked it and invited him to his wedding, where he met Émile, and that she draws tobacco at the MU in the town hall, where he would be singing the next day. Funky considers this "crazy," "mega-tip-top-peritip-top" ("super-duper-hyper-ultra-awesome") and "like a real fairy tale." Funky then asks about Ivan's projects, with him responding about him wanting to open a small karaoke business with his wife Denise. Funky then calls him a "bloody coward" and proceeds to end the interview, saying that he was glad to invite him. Funky then says, "The real star here is..." with Ivan finishing the sentence by saying, "It's you." Funky laughs at this, then says his goodbyes to the viewers.

The opening of this skit features the song "The End" by the Beatles.
