Goo[1] is a green jelly-like substance found in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It can be found in the levels An Uncharted Area: Wubba Ruins, A Final Uncharted Area: Poison Ruins, Badge Challenge Grappling Vine I, and KO Arena Fungi Funk. Goo is a viscous substance found on the floors, walls, and ceilings that the player characters and Wubbas can swim through. Players are able to enter goo by walking into its sides, jumping from below, or performing a Ground Pound from above. Otherwise they can walk across goo like they would normal platforms. While inside goo, player characters are able to freely swim in in any direction, and repeatedly pressing allows them to move faster. Unlike swimming in water, standing still does not cause the player to sink.
Goo is cleared away when struck by falling Konks, although it reforms after a few seconds.
