"C'était un Communiqué de la Prévention Routière" is a skit that aired as part of Donkey Kong Planet. The skit is a public service announcement for road safety, showing the dangers of not driving safely.
Summary[edit]
The skit stars Donkey Kong, who is driving along a country road in a Peugeot 306 above the speed limit, at 180 kilometers an hour, while also not wearing his seatbelt. He then almost crashes into Funky Kong, narrowly avoiding him. After dodging Funky, DK sees many deer on the road. He tries to avoid them, but the brakes malfunction due to the speed he was at, also resulting in him losing one of the wheels of his car, causing him to lose control of the car and drive off the road. The skit ends with an announcer informing the viewer that it was a public safety announcement from Road Safety.
Notable mistakes and errors[edit]
- Throughout the skit, two differently-colored Peugeot 306's are used. In far shots of Donkey Kong driving along the country road, the Peugeot is gray in color, but in closeup shots, the car turns silver.
- In some closeup shots of Donkey Kong driving along the country road, one can see that the outside and the skylight have not been rendered properly, with them still showing the blue of the blue screen.
